Comcast Cable Names Sarhan SVP Content Acquisition

Comcast Cable said it has named former Epix executive Monty Sarhan as senior VP of content acquisition, reporting to president of content acquisition Greg Rigdon.

Sarhan will work on programming negotiations and manage the unit’s nationwide field operations across the cable company’s 39-state (and Washington D.C.) footprint , its compliance and finance functions, and other content-related partnerships. He succeeds Jen Gaiski, who said in June she would leave the company at year‘s end.

Sarhan had been executive VP and general manager at Epix since 2017, and first joined the programmer in 2009 as part of the network’s launch team. Prior to Epix, Sarhan led business and legal affairs for WWE and at Viacom’s Program Enterprises Group.
