Charter Communications and WFN: World Fishing Network are giving one Minnesota angler a chance to cast his line with former Minnesota Twin Kent Hrbek, and then see the action on TV.
The "WFN HD/Charter Fishing with Hrbie" contest gives the winner and his or her favorite fishing friend a two-hour fishing trip with Hrbek on one of the best lakes in Minnesota; transportation to the spot; one-night hotel accommodation; lunch with the former slugger; an exclusive WFN prize pack; and the opportunity to appear in the production of one episode of Kent Hrbek Outdoors.
The contest runs through May 15. To enter, anglers should visit www.WFN.TV/charter to complete an official entry form.
The operator launched WFN on channel 407 as part of its Charter Sports package in Minnesota last year.
"WFN is all about educating and entertaining anglers," said Chris Doyle, vice president of marketing for WFN, in a statment. "We couldn't think of a more memorable experience for a Minnesota angler than spending the day on a great lake with a legendary former ball player who is now one of the most popular outdoor television show personalities."
Hosted by the former MLB star and award-winning journalist Eric Gislason, Kent Hrbek Outdoors brings together newsmakers from the worlds of sports, business, entertainment, politics, media, and even everyday people in a story-driven show, shot in high-definition
