CBS Sports Promotes Sabreen To Senior Communications Manager

CBS Sports has elevated Dan Sabreen to senior manager of communications.
In his expanded gig, Sabreen, who has been serving as manager of corporate communications for CBS College Sports Network, will continue to helm the cable network's media relations efforts, while adding responsibilities, including the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship, regular-season college basketball and the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, for CBS Sports.
Moreover, he will contribute to the publicity efforts for CBS's coverage of the NFL, Southeastern Conference, PGA Tour, including the Masters and PGA Championship, plus the CBS Sports Spectacular and other fare.
"Dan is an excellent communications executive with a great understanding of the sports television business," said CBS Sports vice president of communications Jen Sabatelle in announcing Sabreen's promotion. "His knowledge, hard work and dedication have earned him the respect of everyone at CBS, where he has proven himself to be a terrific asset to CBS Sports and the entire company."
Sabreen joined CBS College Sports Network, then known as CSTV, in 2005 as manager, sports communications, with duties extending to media relations efforts surrounding the network's TV and digital properties, including all studio, remote and original programming, as well as distribution and affiliate initiatives. He has served as the primary contact with CBS College's array of talent, while also working closely with its conference and programming partners on publicity efforts, as well as with CBS Sports, CBSSports.com and MaxPreps.com.
