Cablevision Promotes Budill

Cablevision Systems Tuesday promoted Mac Budill to executive vice president of programming.

In this role, Budill will continue to oversee all programming decisions involving Cablevision’s cable-television offerings, including the identification and acquisition of high-value linear and on-demand content for the MSO’s various products.

Budill joined Cablevision in 1991 as program manager and was named senior VP of programming in 1998. During his tenure at the operator, he has guided countless key programming initiatives and excelled in negotiating numerous programming agreements with major cable networks.

Prior to joining Cablevision, Budill spent three years with Bain & Co. as a management consultant. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and received his undergraduate degree from Yale University.
