The cable TV operator offers HDTV programming to its digital cable customers at no additional cost.
Sports programming on ESPN2 HD includes the NASCAR Busch Series, Major League Baseball, NCAA college football and basketball, boxing, the Little League World Series, ESPN’s X Games, golf, tennis, FIFA World Cup and Major League Soccer.
Cablevision said about 83% of its video customers subscribe to digital cable. Nearly 900,000 iO TV customers have at least one HDTV and HD set-top box in their homes, the company added.
