Chicago - News Corp. deputy chairman and CEO Chase Carey said during an opening-general session panel discussion at Cable Show 2011 that Big Ten Network is planning to introduce an authenticated online service dubbed BTN2Go.
Carey did not provide other details about the rollout, but it is believed the service will launch with the college-football season and includes a live stream of the college-sports service.
He also noted News Corp.-owned Speed Network has an existing authenticated online service, Speed2.
