Cable Pioneers To Induct 25 New Members

The managing board of the Cable TV Pioneers has announced the Class of 2009, which will be inducted at the 43rd annual Pioneers Banquet at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC on April 1.

The 2009 class comprises 25 men and women who have served the cable industry for more than 20 years and made meaningful contributions in the development of the industry.
The group includes inductees from all phases of the cable realm -- system operators, MSO national and regional leaders, engineers, programmers and equipment vendors -- and all points of the compass, even from across the pond.
"These are the folks who have built the business and led their companies or departments with consistently excellent results," said Pioneers executive director Les Read in announcing the 2009 class. "Their commitment to the industry at large is evidenced by their accomplishments."
