Cable One Completes NewWave Purchase
By Mike Farrell
Cable One said it has completed its $735 million purchase of NewWave Communications, a deal that adds about 214,000 residential primary service units (PSUs, a measure of video, voice and broadband customers) in seven states to the cable company fold.
Cable One first announced the all-cash NewWave deal back in January. NewWave has operations in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Texas.
“Our acquisition of NewWave is extremely positive for our customers, our associates and our shareholders,” Cable One CEO Julie Laulis said in a statement “I am pleased to welcome the NewWave teams from around the country to Cable One as we work together to integrate and deliver on our financial objectives.”
