Cable Dominates Twitter's Sunday-Night TV Traffic
Twitter users chatted up cable shows last night, led by MTV’s live European Music Awards event which generated nearly 1 million tweets, according to Nielsen’s Twitter TV ratings.
MTV’s 2015 EMA’s drew 907,000 tweets reaching a unique Twitter audience of more than 5.8 million users to finish first among all television shows. AMC’s The Walking Dead drew 821,000 Tweets reaching 5.4 million unique Twitter users to finish second, according to Nielsen.
WWE’s Hell In A Cell pay-per-view event drew 275,000 tweets to finish third, followed by AMC’s Talking Dead series and Showtime’s Homeland.
