C-COR Hires Greiner to Focus on Comcast
C-COR hired longtime cable-technology executive Bob Greiner as vice president of strategic accounts with a focus on Comcast, the company announced Tuesday.
Greiner will work with C-COR’s North American sales group to develop strategy for key accounts “while concentrating on Comcast,” the company said. He will report to Tim Gropp, corporate VP of worldwide sales at the video-on-demand equipment vendor.
Greiner was previously senior VP of sales for Promptu, a voice-recognition start-up formerly called AgileTV. He also has held management positions at VOD vendors Kasenna and DIVA Systems, as well as Pico Products, a manufacturer of technical products for cable-TV delivery.
"Bob is a respected cable-industry veteran with deep and first-hand cable knowledge that is a welcome and solid addition to our sales team," said Michael Pohl, president of C-COR’s global-strategies group, in a prepared statement.
