Bright House Taps Robertson To Lead Tampa Unit

Bright House Networks has named Mike Robertson president of its Tampa Bay division.

Robertson succeeds Kevin Hyman, the cable company’s executive vice president of operations, in the role of leading the Tampa cluster, Bright House’s largest unit with more than 1 million subscribers.

A cable-veteran with 29 years of experience, Robertson has been with Bright House since 2003. As its senior vice president of operations for the Tampa Bay division, he has ascended an array of roles that that have spanned finance, management and operations disciplines. During Robertson’s tenure, BHN has been a multiyear JD Powers award-winner, testament to its commitment to customer service.

“Mike exemplifies the visionary leadership necessary in today’s highly competitive marketplace,” said Hyman in a statement. “He has a keen sense of “people management” and the superior ability to navigate in tumultuous waters. His blended background of both finance and operations make him the perfect choice to run BHN’s largest division.”

Robertson began his career with positions at American Television & Communications, Time Warner Cable and Paragon, before joining Bright House five years ago

Robertson has been involved in the Tampa Bay-area community, serving on the board of directors for Junior Achievement and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. His involvement with the latter two groups was instrumental in the launch of the Bright Kids Network, an after-school program. He also serves on the board of the Florida Cable and Telecommunications Association.
