Bresnan Communications said executive vice president of operations Steve Brookstein has added the title of chief operating officer.
Brookstein, a longtime cable executive who joined Bresnan in 2003, continues to report to Bresnan president Jeff DeMond.
The company said Brookstein, a former senior manager at video-on-demand provider Diva Systems, has had primary responsibility for the operations of the company's cable television systems and oversaw the rollout of advanced services, achieving strong operating results, including subscriber growth. In 2008, he received the Vanguard Award for Cable Systems Management and he was a member of the 2009 class of Cable Pioneers. His career also included an early stint at Home Box Office and nine years at Comcast.
"Steve Brookstein has proven himself to be an extremely valuable member of the Bresnan Communications team. His track record of excellence speaks for itself," DeMond said in a release. "Steve possesses the experience, dedication and professionalism that contribute very directly to our company's success."
Bresnan has 320,000 customers throughout Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Utah. Financial and strategic backers include Providence Equity Partners, Quadrangle Group, TD Capital and Comcast.
