Sprint PCS Vision users now have access to enhanced content from The Weather Channel Interactive, the two parties announced Wednesday.
TWCi added a seven-day forecast summary, looping satellite images, UV index, dew point, visibility, sunrise-sunset times and chance of precipitation.
These new components complement current features such as up-to-date in-motion radar maps, seven-day forecast, hourly details, current weather conditions and pertinent severe-weather alerts.
Users will also be able to save their favorite screen so that the information automatically appears when they launch the application.
“We know that weather information is important to our customers,” Sprint vice president of consumer marketing Jeff Hallock said in a prepared statement. “We are pleased to evolve and expand our relationship with one of the nation's premier sources of weather information.”
