Best Performance For 'Phineas and Ferb' Helps Disney Channel To Top Spot Among Kids, Tweens
Presenting all new episodes of series Wizards of Waverly Place, The Suite Life on Deck and Phineas and Ferb and a special airing of Disney XD original series Zeke and Luther, Disney Channel ranked as Oct. 16's No. 1 TV network in primetime among kids 6 to 11, tweens 9 to 14 and total viewers.
Last Friday, Disney Channel averaged a 7.2 rating and 1.8 million viewers among kids 6 to 11, a 5.2 rating, 1.3 million tweens and 3.7 million viewers on average, according to Nielsen data.
Phineas and Ferb helped lead the way, racking up series highs in total viewers with 4.5 million, 2.1 million kids 6 to 11, 875,000 boys 6 to 11, 1.6 million tweens and 775,000 tween boys, according to Disney officials.
Phineas and Ferb was TV's best among kids 6 to 11, while The Suite Life on Deck, which has been renewed for a third season, was No. 1 against tweens (1.7 million) and total viewers (4.7 million).
All told, Disney Channel racked up the top 13 TV telecasts among kids 6 to 11 on Oct. 16 and 14 of the top 15 with tweens that day, said network officials.
