AT&T U-verse Launches Fox Soccer Plus HD

AT&T U-verse has added Fox Soccer Plus HD to its video lineup.
The channel, a companion to Fox Soccer Channel, is now available on channel 1653 for $15 per month, according to officials at the telco, which also requires customers to pay a $10 technology fee for HD carriage.

Financial deal terms were not disclosed, but U-Verse customers can check out a free previw of Fox Soccer Plus HD through Feb. 27.
The network, which launched on Cablevision systems last month, presents live, exclusive soccer matches from the best futbol circuits in the world, including England's Barclays Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, England's FA Cup and Italy's Serie A. It also offers premium rugby from the Heineken Cup, the Aviva Premiership and the Magners League among other competitions.

"This deal helps us with important strategic content initiatives and gives our U-verse TV customers access to even more exciting sports content."
