AT&T, Dish Hit Pit Row with Roush Fenway Racing
AT&T teamed up with EchoStar Communications’ Dish Network to sponsor Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 60 car in the upcoming National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing Busch Series race Saturday in St. Louis and the No. 26 car Sept. 1 in Fontana, Calif.
Both the No. 60 car, driven by Busch Series leader Carl Edwards, and the No. 26 car, driven by Jamie McMurray, will promote AT&T’s Homezone, a service that integrates AT&T Yahoo High Speed Internet, AT&T Dish Network television and AT&T Home Networking services.
“AT&T has long been a key partner of Dish Network via its bundled offering, so we’re proud to be able to take that relationship to a new level by giving AT&T exposure to the 75 million devoted motor-sports fans,” EchoStar senior vice president of alliance management Tom Stingley said in a prepared statement.
“AT&T’s sponsorship of these two races is a testament to the success of the team -- which boasts great drivers such as Carl Edwards, Jamie McMurray, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth -- and we’re more than happy to give them the opportunity to capitalize on that success,” he added.
