Animania HD, Voom HD Networks’ animation service, has picked up a pair of series, PICME and Jungle Beat, from Monster Distributes.
As part of the agreement, terms of which were not disclosed, Animania HD will air the series in HD.
Jungle Boat, a quirky series of five-minute shorts from Zimbabwe, features animals in bizarre situations, while PICME is aimed at preschoolers. Each episode features a different child in which his or her picture in placed directly on a premade cartoon, using specially developed PICME software, according to Voom officials.
Jungle Boat will be available on Animania HD in January, with PICME set to debut three months later.
