Adult Swim Advances Olsen To VP Digital, Games

Adult Swim has promoted Jeff Olsen to the newly created position of vice president, digital and games.

In his new role, Olsen, who had been serving as creative director of AdultSwim.com, will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, along with additional responsibilities for Adult Swim Games on iPhone and other digital platforms. Olsen is based in Atlanta and reports directly to Paul Condolora, senior vice president, Digital for Turner Broadcasting System Inc.'s Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media Group.

"Jeff's creativity, dedication and strong business instinct have been invaluable to our digital efforts," said Condolora in announcing the elevation. "We are excited for him to have the opportunity to make even greater contributions in the future."

Olsen began his career at Turner as a senior writer/producer with Cartoon Network's on-air department in 2000. In 2004, Olsen moved to Adult Swim, where he was a co-creator of the original series Stroker & Hoop, and in 2006 was promoted to creative director of Adultswim.com.

In that role Olsen built a team that has transformed the site and driven traffic increases across all metrics, including a more than 300% improvement in gameplays and 600% jump in video plays. He also led the creation of Adult Swim Games, which has launched popular original titles such as "5 Minutes to Kill (Yourself)," "Amateur Surgeon" and "Robot Unicorn Attack."
