MobiTV closed $70 million in series-C financing led by Oak Investment Partners.
The provider of television and digital-radio services for cellular, WiFi and broadband-enabled devices said the investment will back its expansion “in response to the overwhelming demand for its mobile-television and radio service across international markets.”
MobiTV serves domestic carriers including Sprint Nextel, Cingular Wireless and Alltel.
Oak’s Bandel Carano will join MobiTV’s board of directors as part of the investment, the company added.
