Comcast Business Adds Swiftpage To Upware Lineup

Swiftpage has become the first supplier in the marketing and customer relationship category to join Upware, the cloud-based, curated apps and services marketplace that Comcast Business developed for small- and mid-sized customers.

Swiftpage Engage is a software-as-a-service platform that supplies businesses with e-mail and social marketing tools.

“This is another terrific step forward for our OEM partner strategy, giving us access to a nationwide footprint of new potential users and enabling Comcast Business to further provide access to  offerings for small businesses,” said H. John Oechsle, president and CEO of Swiftpage, in a statement.

”Surveys have shown that small businesses expect to grow in 2014, and we believe that cloud-based marketing and CRM solutions like Swiftpage, that are impactful and easy to use, will play a significant role,” added Kevin O’Toole, SVP and GM, new business solutions, Comcast Business, in a statement. “In anticipation of our small business customers’ demand for these types of services, we are excited to work with Swiftpage as a vendor in our new Marketing and CRM aisle on the Upware marketplace.”

Comcast launched its Upware B2B marketplace in February. Other Upware partners include Carbonite (online backup), Box (cloud-based storage), DocuSign (electronics signatures), Cisco Systems (WebEx),  Soonr (secure online file sharing), and MaaX (hosted email exchange).

Comcast has not broken out Upware revenues, but the MSO’s business services unit generated $836 million in business services revenues in the third quarter of 2013, putting it on pace for an annual run rate of $3.3 billion.
