CBS Entertainment chairman Nina Tassler will have a keynote Q&A session during B&C’s Women of the West event, a part of the magazine’s Keynotes and Cocktails series. 

The event, which celebrates women in the television industry is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. It kicks off at 3 p.m.  

Women of the West will feature discussions on women cultivating careers in TV technology, building a business and running a television series. The later panel will include TV’s top female writers, creators and producers. 

Tassler, who last spoke at a Keynotes and Cocktails event in 2010, has served as CBS’s entertainment head since February 2014. She oversees all programming for the network and leads development for the broadcaster. 

The TV vet has been with CBS since 1997 and developed both the CSI and NCIS franchises. Tassler will be heading up Stephen Colbert’s transition into hosting The Late Show this year. 

Professionals from all facets of the industry — including men — are invited to Women of the West. 

The West Coast event will follow Tuesday’s Women of New York installment in the series at the Roosevelt Hotel.
