We TV has promoted Lauren Gellert executive vice president of development and original programming, a newly created position, the network announced today. 

With the network since 2012, Gellert was the former senior vice president of original production and development, and has been responsible for a surge in viewership for unscripted originals, such as Kendra on Top and Marriage Boot Camp Reality Series. 

From We TV's New York City headquarters, Gellert will report to President Marc Juris. 

"Lauren is a dynamic creative executive who understands the value of great storytelling; she understands what resonates with today's hyper-connected viewers and delivers shows that break through the clutter," said Juris in a release.

Gellert is the executive in charge for the unscripted series including, Kendra on Top, Braxton Family Values, Tamar & Vince, David Tutera's Celebrations, the Marriage Boot Camp franchise and the debut of Sex Box. 

Many of Gellert's work has reached top numbers in viewership, audience engagement and overall network performance. Kendra on Top is breaking series records on the third season among P2+ and A25-54 viewers, with a 97% and 95% increase from last season. 

She has also served as vice president of production and development at ION Media Networks and Tru TV, as well as senior vice president at RDF/Zodiak USA.
