TV One will air the last interview with the late hip-hop artist DMX as part of a special May 16 Uncensored episode.

The Uncensored series, which offers first-hand accounts from popular personalities about their lives and careers, captured the interview with DMX three weeks before his passing April 9 from cardiac arrest, according to the network. The two-part special will air prior to the network’s Urban One Honors special event.

"DMX sat down with our team and was completely uncensored,” Urban One Founder and Chairman Cathy Hughes said in a statement. “We have one hour with the late rapper in his own words. For DMX to be with us just three weeks before God called him home, I believe it's truly divine intervention.”

History’s Jesus: His Life documentary series averaged 1.4 million viewers (Nielsen Live+same day ratings) in its four-week run, History executives said.

The eight-episode series, which debuted March 25 and concluded April 15, explores the story of Jesus Christ through the people in his life who were closest to him, with each of the eight chapters told from the perspective of different biblical figures, including Joseph, John the Baptist, Mary Mother of Jesus, Caiaphas, Judas Iscariot, Pontius Pilate, Mary Magdalene and Peter, said the network. 

History premiered two new episodes each week of the series' four-week run. 

History will air a Jesus: His Life marathon April 21, one of several original religious and gospel-themed programs airing Easter Sunday.

BET on Sunday will air coverage of the 34th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards hosted by Kirk Franklin, according to the network. Franklin on Sunday will also be profiled as part of TV One’s docu series Uncensored, while gospel star Tasha Cobbs Leonard will be the focus of the African-American targeted network’s music-themed series Unsung.
