TV Everywhere, cloud video and and portal services specialist Synacor has tapped industry vet Timothy Schermerhorn as SVP, service provider sales and marketing.

In that role,  Schermerhorn will head up all aspects of Synacor’s revenue-facing efforts in the service provider market.

Schermerhorn most recently was VP and GM broadband and media accounts at Ericsson. He’s also late of Intel Corp., ADB and Motorola. He reports to Synacor CEO Himesh Bhise.

 “Tim is highly regarded throughout the industry as being a strong customer advocate and A dynamic sales leader,” Bhise said in a statement. “His depth of experience and sales leadership will be a tremendous asset to Synacor’s success as we continue our path to 3/30/300.” 

Synacor’s “3/30/300” initiative, announced in May, outlined a goal of generating $300 million in revenues and $30 million in EBIDTA in three years.
