                                <p>A&E has teamed with actor Rob Lowe to create a non-fiction series that explores unsolved mysteries, the network said Monday.</p><p>The series, <em>The Lowe Files</em>, will star Lowe and his two sons, Matthew and John Owen as they seek out will seek out a mysterious story or spooky legend and immerse themselves in the exploration and debate of the experience, said network officials.</p><p>The nine-episode series will debut later this summer, according to A&E.</p><p>Lowe will also serve as excutive producer of <em>The Lowe Files</em> along with Tom Forman, Jon Beyer, Brad Bishop and Douglas McCallie, according to A&E. Critical Contnet will produce the series. </p><p>“Watching Rob, Matthew and John Owen take this awesome adventure together, something that has long been a part of their family narrative, is the kind of organic programming that our viewers respond to best,” said Elaine Frontain Bryant, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming for A&E Network in a statement. “Their explorations will certainly lead them to dynamic and exciting places, but a nostalgic journey for a father and his sons is what’s at the heart of the series’ underlying mission.”</p>
