NBCUniversal’s multicast network Cozi TV is planning to give away a 1962 AMC Rambler American 400 in a sweepstakes celebrating the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun.

3rd Rock From The Sun has been on Cozi TV since July 2021. The car was driven by the Solomon family of kooky aliens in the sitcom.

“When 3rd Rock joined Cozi TV’s line-up of all-time favorites last year, we wanted to celebrate the extraordinary show, its all-star cast and, of course, its dedicated fans in a special and unique way,” said Meredith McGinn, executive VP of diginets & original production, NBCUniversal Local. “The Rambler, like 3rd Rock, is iconic and timeless, so we are excited to give fans a chance to own a red convertible, just like the Solomons.”

For the sweepstakes, Cozi TV acquired a Rambler in 2021, shortly after the show joined the channel’s lineup. Cozi TV worked with professional car restorers to repair systems, update mechanicals and customize features to be similar to the 3rd Rock Rambler. The original Rambler from the series is currently on display at the Wisconsin Auto Museum and owned by the Kenosha History Center in Wisconsin.

Fans can enter to win the vehicle Monday through August 31 at CoziTV3rdRockSweepstakes.com. To win, entrants must be 18 years old and up and have a valid U.S. driver's license. One entry per person.

While launching the sweepstakes, Cozi TV has also scheduled a six-hour marathon of the sitcom on July 3, starting at 8 p.m. ET. Each of the 12 episodes will feature the Rambler. 

3rd Rock from the Sun ran for six seasons on NBC from 1996 to 2001. The show starred John Lithgow, Jane Curtin, Kristen Johnston, French Stewart and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It features a family of aliens trying to fit in by impersonating earthlings.  ■

If you’re in the mood for an ugly holiday sweater, you might not have to look any further than Hulu.

The streaming service is sending thousands of sweaters, based on Hulu Original shows to random viewers identified as fans of series including Dave, Helstrom, Little Fires Everywhere, Shrill, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Great, Love, Victor, Normal People Solar Opposites and Wu-Tang: An American saga.

The sweaters will also be available to all Hulu subscribers through a social media sweepstakes. Viewers can enter by posting a comment with the hashtag #HuluSweaterSweepstakes on either Instagram or Twitter.

“The Ugly Holiday Sweater campaign continues Hulu’s efforts to surprise and delight subscribers via their Friends with Benefits program by celebrating TV fandom with unique experiences for Hulu viewers to enjoy, the streamer,” Hulu said.

Hulu also made ugly holiday sweaters last year, but they made fewer of them, inspiring some online jealousy. The sweaters last year featured Hulu Has Live Sports and some original and licensed content. 

Verizon FiOS will kick off offer a free two-week preview of One World Sports later this month.

From Oct. 18 through Nov. 3 all of FiOS's 5-million-plus video customers will have access to the global sports network's lineup. The telco launched the network on its FiOS TV Extreme and FiOS TV Ultimate packages in April.

Among the programming highlights during the freeview span is "Super Soctober Saturday," as One World Sports will devote its Oct. 25 schedule to array of futbol fare,  featuring eight soccer matches over an 18.5-hour span.

Underlining the network's global lineup, Super Soctober Saturday features the first leg of the AFC Champions League Final, live from Sydney, Australia; a trio of J. League matches from Nippon; an A-League derby matchup from Australia between Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City; plus an encore presentation of the 2014 FA Cup Final between Arsenal and Hull City. 

In primetime, the network travels westward across The Pond to showcase the defending NASL champion New York Cosmos as they face their long-standing rival, the Tampa Bay Rowdies, live at 7:30pm  (ET).

The network is also flanking the preview gambit with “One World Sports Super Soctober Sweepstakes” in which the winner and a guest will be flown to London, to see the Premier League action pitting Arsenal versus Everton F.C. at Emirates Stadium on Feb, 28, 2015. Viewers can enter the “Super Soctober Sweepstakes” at www.oneworldsports.com.

During the preview period, FiOS customers also will have a chance to see the start of the Chinese Basketball Association season when the defending champions Beijing Ducks and its star, former New York Knick Stephon Marbury, take on the Guangdong Southern Tigers, featuring recent American high school recruit, Emmanuel Mudiay, who is projected to be one of the top picks in the 2015 NBA 2015 draft.  Plus, six live Kontinental Hockey League games and the final leg of the AFC Champions League Finals will be telecast during the freeview. 

FiOS will promote One World Sports in a number of its marketing channels, including cross-channel spots, email communication, web banners and a presence on the interactive media guide that all subscribers see when they turn on their TVs.  

In addition to Verizon, One World Sports has affiliate pacts with Dish Network, Charter Communications, Cablevision’s Optimum TV, Mediacom Communications, Hawaiian Telcom and Google Fiber.

Fans of Sportsman Channel’s weekday talker NRANEWS Cam & Co. will have the chance to visit the set by checking out the show next week.

Under the "NRANEWS Cam & Co. Watch ‘N Win promotion," viewers watching the show at 6 p.m. from Sept. 15 through Sept. 19 will be asked to look for a special code during the telecast and then enter it on www.thesportsmanchannel.com to gain entry into the swepstakes. Each word correctly entered will gain participants additional access into the sweepstakes.

One lucky winner will win a prize package that includes a trip to sit in-studio and watch the show with host, Cam Edwards at its Farmville, Va. studios. The winner also will attend the “Heart of Virginia Friends of NRA Banquet” on Saturday, Sept. 27 and sit with Edwards along with Sportsman hosts, Benny Spies and Scott Leysath.

The prize package also includes airfare to the show, two nights hotel accommodations, local transport, and the of Kimber Custom II 1911 .45 pistol or Stag Model 2 AR-15 courtesy of the Heart of Virginia Friends of NRA Chapter.
