Showtime will premiere its limited series The Loudest Voice on June 30, the network said Tuesday.

The seven-part series, which focuses on Fox News founder Roger Ailes, will star Russell Crowe, Seth MacFarlane, Simon McBurney and Sienna Miller.

The Loudest Voice is is a co-production of Showtime and Blumhouse Television, and is executive produced by Crowe, Tom McCarthy, Alex Metcalf, Jason Blum, Marci Wiseman, Jeremy Gold, Liza Chasin and Kari Skogland.

Showtime has ordered a limited series based on the book The Loudest Voice in the Room, about Fox News Channel founder Roger Ailes. 

Russell Crowe will play Ailes in the eight-episode series.

Gabriel Sherman wrote The Loudest Voice in the Room. He co-wrote the initial episode with Tom McCarthy (Spotlight), who will executive produce with Jason Blum. The project is a co-production from Showtime and Blumhouse Television.

“In many ways, the collision between the media and politics has come to define the world we live in today,” said David Nevins, president and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc. “We’ve seen this phenomenon depicted on screen as far back as the story of Charles Foster Kane, and it finds contemporary embodiment in the rise and fall of Roger Ailes. With Russell Crowe in the lead role, this limited series promises to be a defining story for this era.”

Ailes died in 2017.

“To understand the events that led to the rise of Donald Trump, one must understand Ailes," Showtime said. "The upcoming limited series takes on that challenge, focusing primarily on the past decade in which Ailes arguably became the Republican Party’s de facto leader, while flashing back to defining events in Ailes’ life, including an initial meeting with Richard Nixon on the set of The Mike Douglas Show that gave birth to Ailes’ political career and the sexual harassment accusations and settlements that brought his Fox News reign to an end.”

Sherman interviewed more than 600 people for his book.

The TV project is executive produced by McCarthy, Blum and Alex Metcalf, along with Marci Wiseman and Jeremy Gold for Blumhouse Television, which originally optioned the rights to Sherman’s book and brought the project to Showtime.

Crowe’s film work includes Gladiator, The Insider, L.A. Confidential and Cinderella Man.

U.S. District Court Judge George Daniels dismissed a harassment suit brought by former Fox News Channel host Andrea Tantaros against her former employer, claiming she failed to back up her allegations with actual evidence.

The dismissal comes days after Fox News named Suzanne Scott as CEO and a few days after the network settled a number of racial and gender discrimination lawsuits involving 18 current and former employees for $10 million. 

Tantaros filed the "digital harassment" suit against Fox News and its former chairman Roger Ailes and former president William Shine in April 2017, alleging that executives turned on the pressure after she filed a suit in August 2016 claiming sexual harassment by Ailes and former O’Reilly Factor host Bill O’Reilly. 

As part of the April suit, Tantaros claimed that Fox executives approved the hacking of her personal computer, physical surveillance and secretly recording her without her consent, using that information to harass her. Ailes, who resigned from Fox News in July 2016 in the wake of the Gretchen Carlson harassment scandal, died last May.  Shine, who was named in other harassment suits, resigned from the channel in May 2017. 

In his decision, Judge Daniels wrote that Tarantos failed to back up her digital harassment claims with evidence.

“Plaintiff’s amended complaint is based primarily on speculation and conjecture,” Judge Daniels wrote. “Moreover, she fails to adequately make out the basic elements of her claims.”  

Fox News Channel has fired back against a lawsuit by former employee Andrea Tantaros against the network and several of its employees, asking a U.S. District Court in New York to dismiss the complaint and sanction Tantaros's lawyer.

That came in a memorandum of law filed in support of FNC's motion for sanctions against attorney Judd Burstein, who is representing Tantaros, who claimed sexual harassment by late Fox News chief Roger Ailes and a campaign of digital harassment and surveillance.

In the memo, Fox News said the complaint read like a the plot of a TV drama, with claims of hacking, phone tapping andcoded messages via a "sock puppet" social media account.

It called the complaint a work of fiction and the allegations of systematic harassment, surveillance and criminal conduct "outrageously and flagrantly false."

Fox says the allegation of criminal conduct was simply a ploy to grab headlines and inflict "maximum damage" on the company.

He said Tantaros's lawyer either did not sufficiently vet his client's claims or knew they were a hoax.

The motion was filed on behalf of Fox News Channel, William Shine (who has left the company) and executive Irena Briganti, and it seeks sanctions on both Burstein and Tantaros.

FNC also said Tantaros' original complaint was improperly filed with the court, rather than the arbitration forum required by Tantaros's contract.

Specifically, Fox wants the court to (1) make Burstein and Tantaros pay the court costs of litigation fees and expenses; (2) dismiss the complaint with prejudice (meaning it can't be repaired and refiled); (3) require Tantaros to bring any future claims related to her employment to arbitration; and (4) refer the attorney's conduct to "disciplinary authorities."

21st Century Fox is getting closer to cutting ties with Bill O’Reilly, the biggest star on its high-rated, profit-generating Fox News Channel, according to published reports.

Following an April 1 article in The New York Times disclosing that Fox News and O’Reilly have paid $13 million to settle a number of sexual harassment claims, advertisers have pulled their commercials from The O’Reilly Factor, adding financial hardship to pressure from activists and women’s rights groups.

O’Reilly went on vacation last week. He had planned to return his show on April 24.

Last year, Fox News’s powerful chairman Roger Ailes, who built the channel into a TV juggernaut and political powerhouse, was forced out amid sexual harassment charges.

21st Century Fox’s new CEO James Murdoch appears to be trying to run a more by the books organization than his swashbuckling father Rupert Murdoch, who remains executive chairman of 21st Century Fox and was put in charge of Fox News after Ailes’ departure.

The Wall Street Journal said Fox News is preparing to cut ties with O’Reilly, according to people close to the situation. The Journal, like Fox, is controlled by the Murdochs. A final decision on O’Reilly could come as early as the next several days, the paper said.

In New York magazine, Gabriel Sherman reported that the Murdochs are leaning toward announcing that O’Reilly will not return to the air.

One factor pushing the Murdochs is a pending ruling on 21st Century Fox’s $14 billion takeover of Sky TV in Europe, according to the magazine. The British Office of Communications is getting ready to rule on whether Fox is a “fit and proper” owner for Sky. Parting with O’Reilly would make Fox appear more squeaky clean to regulators by removing at least one potential objection.

According to The New York Times a new complaint from a former Fox News employee was registered on the 21st Century Fox sexual harassment hotline. The employee said that in 2008 that O’Reilly would leer at her, grunt like a “wild boar” and called her “hot chocolate.”

The Times said O’Reilly’s lawyer, Marc Kasowitz of Kasowitz Benson Torres, said it was “outrageous that an allegation from an anonymous person about something that purportedly happened almost a decade ago is being treated as fact.”

Kasowitz also said O’Reilly “has been subjected to a brutal campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in post-McCarthyist America.”

“This law firm has uncovered evidence that the smear campaign is being orchestrated by far-left organizations bent on destroying O’Reilly for political and financial reasons. That evidence will be put forth shortly, and it is irrefutable,” Kasowitz said.

Ailes has also denied all of the charges made against him.

Fox News Channel was hit with another lawsuit by a woman claiming she was treated improperly by the network and its former chairman Roger Ailes.

The new suit was filed by Julie Roginsky, a paid on-air contributor to Fox News since 2011. It names Fox, Ailes and network co-president Bill Shine as defendants.

The suit comes nearly a year after Ailes was forced out of his powerful position because of a series of sexual harassment complaints, which the network has spent at least $30 million settling.

Over the weekend, The New York Times published a story outlining a number of complaints that have also been made against Bill O’Reilly, the host of FNC’s top-rated shows. The Times said O’Reilly and the network have paid out $13 million in settlements.

Fox News and its parent, 21st Century Fox are being investigated to see if they properly disclosed to shareholders that these payments were made.

In her suit, filed Monday in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan, Roginsky alleges that FNC and Ailes discriminated against her “on the basis of her gender by making her deserved promotion to a regular spot hosting The Five contingent upon having a sexual relationship with Ailes."

“Fox News and Ailes thereafter retaliated against Plaintiff when she refused to have a sexual relationship with Ailes," the suit states. "Shine aided and abetted the discrimination and retaliation by Fox News and Ailes by failing to take reasonable measures to protect Roginsky from, and condoning, the unlawful conduct.”

Former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson has settled her sexual harassment suit against ousted Fox News chairman Roger Ailes, with 21st Century Fox paying what some estimate is an eight-figure sum.

Carlson had filed suit against Aliles in July, alleging he had repeatedly made sexual advances to her during her career at the channel, and fired her in June because she refused to sleep with him. While Ailes denied the charges, several other women have come forward since Carlson’s suit making similar allegations. Ailes resigned later that month after Fox conducted an internal investigation into the matter.

According to people familiar with the settlement, Fox will foot the entire bill. Ailes reportedly walked away from Fox with about $40 million when he resigned, essentially the remainder of his employment deal with the company, which was set to expire in 2018.

Carlson sued Ailes in part to avoid an arbitration clause in her contract with Fox, according to several reports. Ailes’s lawyers tried to have the case dismissed initially because they believed it violated that clause, but those efforts have obviously been abandoned.

“21st Century Fox is pleased to announce that it has settled Gretchen Carlson’s lawsuit,” the company said in a statement.  “During her tenure at Fox News, Gretchen exhibited the highest standards of journalism and professionalism. She developed a loyal audience and was a daily source of information for many Americans. We are proud that she was part of the Fox News team. We sincerely regret and apologize for the fact that Gretchen was not treated with the respect and dignity that she and all of our colleagues deserve.”

According to Vanity Fair, citing people familiar with the matter, 21st Century Fox will pay Carlson $20 million in the  settlement. The NewYork Times also reported Tuesday that Fox is in settlement talks with other women at the network.

I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life in which I will redouble my efforts to empower women in the workplace," Carlson said in a statement. "I want to thank all the brave women who came forward to tell their own stories and the many people across the country who embraced and supported me in their #StandWithGretchen. All women deserve a dignified and respectful workplace in which talent, hard work and loyalty are recognized, revered and rewarded."

Fox News Channel responded to former anchor Andrea Tantaros’s sexual harassment lawsuit by saying her complaint is filled with falsehoods and should be resolved in arbitration.

In a filing with New York State Supreme Court, Fox News said “Tarantos is not a victim; she is an opportunist.”

Fox News Channel and former chairman Roger Ailes have been hit with another sexual harassment suit.

Anchor Andrea Tantaros filed a complaint in New York State Supreme Court and named Fox News Channel and several of its executives, including Ailes, recently named co-president Bill Shine, programming head Suzanne Scott, counsel  Dianne Brandi and public relations chief Irena Briganti.

Ailes resigned last month following a similar sexual harassment lawsuit filed by former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson and an investigation by parent company 21st Century Fox that turned up complaints by other female Fox News staffers. Fox News said it does not comment on pending litigation.

Tantaros said in the suit, “Fox News masquerades as a defender of traditional family values, but behind the scenes, it operates like a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency, and misogyny.”

Tantaros also charged that Ailes did not act alone. “He may have been the primary culprit, but his actions were condoned by his most senior lieutenants, who engaged in a concerted effort to silence Tantaros by threats, humiliation and retaliation,” her suit said.

She added that 21st Century Fox’s top execs, Rupert, James and Lachlan Murdoch, “have been misleading the public into believing that they are taking action. In fact, they have done the opposite.”

In the suit, Ailes is accused of making inappropriate comments like “turn around so I can get a good look on you” -- a request so common at Fox News it was referred to as “The Twirl” -- and “I bet you look good in a bikini.”

“Perhaps the most shocking encounter of all,” the suit said, “was a Spring 2015 meeting between Tantaros and Fox News senior xxecutive, defendant William Shine, during which Tantaros sought relief from Ailes’s sexual harassment. In response, Shine told Tantaros that Ailes was a ‘very powerful man’ and that Tantaros ‘needed to let this one go.’ Yet, after Ailes was revealed to be a sexual predator and forced to resign, Shine was promoted to co-president of Fox News. Shine’s inexplicable elevation sends the message that it will be ‘business as usual’ at Fox News when it comes to the treatment of women.”

21st Century Fox executive chairman Lachlan Murdoch opened the company's fourth quarter earnings call Wednesday with a statement about Fox News Channel, which he noted "has been the news over the past few weeks."

He said the company "moved quickly and decisively to protect the business, protect its employees and protect the unique voice Fox News broadcasts."

He did not mention former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes by name. Ailes resigned last month after being accused of sexual harassment by former FNC anchor Gretchen Carlson.

Lawyers for Gretchen Carlson, whose sexual harassment lawsuit against Fox News chairman Roger Ailes swiftly led to his departure, thanked the women who spoke out about sexual harassment.

Roger Ailes, chairman and CEO of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network and chairman of Fox Television stations, has resigned from those roles effective immediately.

Ailes has been under fire ever since former Fox & Friends anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit accusing Ailes of sexual harassment, claiming the Fox News chief fired her after she rebuffed his repeated advances. In the wake of Carlson’s lawsuit, several other former and current female Fox employees have reportedly come forward with similar claims.

According to a report in New York Magazine earlier this week, Fox parent 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch, and co-executive chairmen Lachlan Murdoch and Rueprt Murdoch had agreed that Ailes should leave the company, but couldn’t agree on timing. According to the report, Rupert and Lachlan wanted to wait until after the Republican National Convention to oust Ailes, while James wanted it to occur this week. Tonight is the last night of the RNC, where nominee Donald Trump, a Fox News staple, is scheduled to make his acceptance speech.

Rupert Murdoch will assume Ailes’ duties as chairman and acting CEO of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.

Murdoch continued that he takes on the added roles with the support of Fox’s existing management team under Bill Shine, Jay Wallace and Mark Kranz.

Despite several reports that he has been shown the exit, 21st Century Fox maintained that Fox News chief Roger Ailes is still working for the company and that an external review into claims that the long-time executive sexually harassed several women under his employ is ongoing.

"Roger is at work," Fox said in an e-mail statement late Tuesday."The review is ongoing. And the only agreement that is in place is his existing employment agreement.  "

The last part of the statement was in reference to reports that Ailes is set to receive a $40 million severance package on his departure.

Ailes has been under fire ever since former Fox & Friends anchor Gretchen Carlson alleged that Ailes had sexually harassed her on several occasions, firing her recently after she again refused his advances. Since then several women, former and current Fox employees, have come forward to attorneys investigating the allegations, saying that Ailes too had sexually harassed them. Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, who had been strangely silent as other on-air personalities defended Ailes (including Bill O'Reilly, Maria Bartiromo and Greta Van Susteren) reportedly told those same attorneys that Ailes had made sexual advances toward her 10 years ago.

According to a New York Magazine report by Ailes' unofficial biographer Gabriel Sherman, 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch had been pressing for Ailes' immediate ouster, while his brother, executive chairman Lachlan and his father executive chairman Rupert were in favor of waiting until after the Republican National Convention this week to pull the trigger.   

Lawyers for former Fox News Channel anchor Gretchen Carlson, who has sued Fox News chairman Roger Ailes for sexual harassment, said they want Ailes to deny the charges under oath.

Ailes on Wednesday released a statementcalling Carlson’s accusations “false” and “defamatory.” He said that Carlson’s contract was not renewed because ratings were disappointing, not because she refused any alleged improper advances.

Carlson’s attorneys released a statement Thursday spelling out what they said were the ratings changes for Carlson’s FNC show, The Real Story With Gretchen Carlson. They said that despite being moved to a tough time slot and getting insufficient support and promotion, the show's ratings went up, and Carlson was successful.

21st Century Fox said it has begun an internal review of the sexual harassment charges made against Fox News chairman Roger Ailes by former anchor Gretchen Carlson.

Carlson alleges in a lawsuit filed in New Jersey that she was fired after she rejected Ailes's advances and spoke up about conditions in the Fox News Channel newsroom.

In a statement, 21st Century Fox said it has is “taking these matters serious,” but maintained it has “full confidence in Mr. Ailes and Mr. Doocy, who have served the company brilliantly for over two decades.”

At the same time Ailes released a statement of his own, denying the allegations.

“Gretchen Carlson’s allegations are false," Ailes said. "This is a retaliatory suit for the network’s decision not to renew her contract, which was due to the fact that her disappointingly low ratings were dragging down the afternoon lineup. When Fox News did not commence any negotiations to renew her contract, Ms. Carlson became aware that her career with the network was likely over and conveniently began to pursue a lawsuit."

Former Fox News Channel anchor Gretchen Carlson has filed suit charging that she was fired after being sexually harassed by Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.

Carlson is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

The suit, filed in Superior Court of New Jersey, charges that Ailes fired the 50-year-old Carlson because she refused to sleep with him and reported disparaging treatment in the newsroom.

She was let go the day her contract expired — June 23 — despite her show, The Real Story With Gretchen Carlson, being the leading cable news program in its afternoon time slot, the suit says.

"We believe that the evidence will confirm that Gretchen was fired from Fox & Friends for speaking up about demeaning and discriminatory behavior on and off the set," said Nancy Erika Smith of Smith Mullin, who is representing Carlson.

The complaint describes an exchange with Ailes during a meeting last September in which Carlson said she tried to discuss ongoing discriminatory treatment.

"I think you and I should have had a sexual relationship a long time ago and then you'd be good and better and I'd be good and better," Ailes allegedly told Carlson at the time, according to the complaint, which said he added that "sometimes problems are easier to solve" that way.

Fox News Chairman/CEO Roger Ailes weighed in strongly in support of Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly Tuesday (Aug. 25) following GOP candidate Donald Trump's continued attacks on her show and abilities, calling Trump's Tweeted insults a verbal assault that was "crude and irresponsible."

Ailes sought an apology from the rarely reticent real estate mogul and former reality TV star following a series of tweets from Trump saying she was off her game and calling her show a waste of an hour.

“Donald Trump's surprise and unprovoked attack on Megyn Kelly during her show last night is as unacceptable as it is disturbing," said Ailes in a statement e-mailed to Multichannel News.

"Megyn Kelly represents the very best of American journalism and all of us at Fox News Channel reject the crude and irresponsible attempts to suggest otherwise. I could not be more proud of Megyn for her professionalism and class in the face of all of Mr. Trump’s verbal assaults," Ailes said. "Her questioning of Mr. Trump at the debate was tough but fair, and I fully support her as she continues to ask the probing and challenging questions that all presidential candidates may find difficult to answer. Donald Trump rarely apologizes, although in this case, he should. We have never been deterred by politicians or anyone else attacking us for doing our job, much less allowed ourselves to be bullied by anyone and we’re certainly not going to start now. All of our journalists will continue to report in the fair and balanced way that has made Fox News Channel the number one news network in the industry.”     

Trump's initial attacks on Kelly stemmed from some tough questioning by her and other Fox anchors in the first Republican presidential debate. Trump had appeared to be trying to mend fences with the channel in the interim, but after Monday night's tweets, the fence was clearly in need of repair once again.

Trump's press office had not responded to multiple e-mails at press time, but a statement cited by Politico had Trump doubling down again, saying he disagreed with Fox and that he didn't think Kelly was a "quality journalist."

She launched weekday market show Opening Bell with Maria Bartiromo on FBN on Feb. 24, and bowed Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo March 30 on FNC before 1.08 million viewers, more than doubling the audience of CNN and MSNBC and nearly matching that feat in the news demo of adults 25 to 54. Multichannel.com news editor Mike Reynolds recently sat down with Bartiromo to discuss her shows’ early performance and the move to Fox, where she has been reunited with an old friend, Fox News president Roger Ailes. An edited transcript follows.

Multichannel News: What’s the transition been like?

Maria Bartiromo: The show is similar because it's a market show, two hours, live. The Sunday show has been just a complete, new, energizing, refreshing thing for me.

I find that everyone is working really hard here. They know they're number one and they're busy. They're going to keep being number one and they’re doing their job. But everybody has been unbelievable; they've really made it easy for me, going out of their way to welcome me.

Shepherd Smith sent me flowers. Bill O'Reilly took me in his office and just chatted me up. Judge Napolitano said ; “When can you have coffee?” They are all - Jeanine Pirro as well - they are all being so wonderful to me. So I think that the warmth that they have shown me has been just so great and I appreciate them all.

MCN: It's good to work on Sundays?

MB: I love it. I mean the show, I love. It's hard working six days, I guess. But I just got the numbers and we beat CNN and MSNBC combined every week since we launched. So I feel like that tells you right there that there is an appetite for economic angles and business information on a Sunday.

MCN: You identified that as an opportunity?

MB: Yeah, it was. I like to watch TV on a Sunday morning with my coffee. I used to just flip around watching who everybody had. And what I realized was that while you see all these politicos talking about the issues of the country -- whether it's the economy, whether it's foreign policy -- very few of them actually connect the dots and actually say and identify the fact that it's about jobs.

And so I was talking about that in a Sunday show and I brought it to Roger [Ailes] and he loved the idea and said business can be part of the solution. And I said, right, I agree. So with his help and with  [FNC EVP of programming] Bill Shine and [FNC EVP of news] Michael Clemente offering their visions, together we came up with this idea.

MCN: On Sunday and overall, you're taking a longer-form approach?

MB: Increasingly over the last couple of years, what I have heard from CEOs and guests is the fact that it feels too short term. What I kept hearing from them was things like, 'Maria, you had me on for five minutes, I came all the way here and it's a complex story and I can't really tell my story in five minutes.'

MCN: Plus, you have three other guests on at the same time.

MB: Right. Well I was under pressure to have four and five people on at once. In the Nineties, it was all about the stock market; it was dotcom boom and then dotcom bust. People wanted these short, sound-bite situations.

But I think over time audiences have changed, frankly. I think they want analysis, they want perspective

So we're definitely trying to have guests on for longer. We don't have a set time. I mean I had James Gorman, the CEO of Morgan Stanley on for an hour. I had Steve Schwartzman, the CEO of Blackstone Group, on for an hour. But then we had John Donahoe, the CEO of eBay, we had him on for fifteen minutes. You don’t do everyone for an hour.

MCN: Is part of the appeal here to help boost Fox Business Network?

MB: Fox News Channel is the leading cable network, so I've got that support behind me for the Sunday show and that's phenomenal. Fox Business Network is a little more of a build-out situation and I know that and it's not going to happen overnight. This team has done a great job in six years. I'm here because I want to help them build this network, because I think people do want an alternative. For Fox Business Network, I feel like I have already had incredible success because I have had guests on the air that have never walked through the building. I mean I am having the highest of the high in corporate America on the show every day. So I think as long as we do a good show, the numbers come later.

MCN: What about working with Roger again?

MB: One of the reasons I came here frankly was because I did want to reunite with Roger Ailes. I like him a lot. He is very smart, very savvy about branding, about television. And he put me on the air twenty years ago. I mean he saw something in me, he believed in me, and I have always had the highest regard for him.

I think another reason was because I've seen Bill (Shine) and Michael Clemente and Brian Jones in action. Kevin Magee used to work with me as well at CNBC, and he’s running Fox Business Network. I like him a lot. When I looked at the overall management team, I thought these guys know what they're doing.

MCN: The way contracts work, you had sixty days between jobs. How did you handle that?

MB: Well, it was tough. I like to work. In twenty years I must have taken two weeks off at a clip, right? I mean do you ever take more than two weeks off? No one does.

Even knowing that there was a chance I was going to leave, I was booking December and I shouldn't have. But I had a commitment to Governor Cuomo, who asked me if I would moderate his Regional Economic Awards Program in Albany. I had a commitment that I said I would go to the White House Holiday Dinner.

Then it was the holidays. I should have, in retrospect, gone away to the Caribbean, put my feet up and not done anything, but I didn't.  Then I finally realized okay, I am going to be working soon…

MCN: For a long time…

MB: I better do something because I'm not going to have a vacation. So I went to Milan with my sister. We went to La Traviata at La Scala Opera House. Then we went to see the Last Supper painting, which is absolutely spectacular. And then I went hiking with my husband in Arizona for two and a half weeks with my husband,  So I did have some time off. And then I went to Davos that was also in my schedule.

And I’m really happy I did because it was very important for me to be able to communicate to people why I left and why I was starting a new job.

MCN: What big names are you trying to get for Sunday?

MB: I'm trying to look at the issues of the day with an economic angle. That's really my mandate. And so I'm not going to take the guests that are doing their rounds on Meet the Press and Bob Schieffer. If John Kerry decides do the rounds, we probably won't take him because I am not going to do the same show that's out there right now, I want to do everything through an economic lens.

So the first program we led with [economist] Larry Summers, and his take on the economy, his take on the Fed. Then, it was the weekend of Obama Care so then we had Toby Cosgrove, the CEO of Cleveland Clinic. We had [former director of the National Economic Council] Gene Sperling. So I'm trying to get in every show a policy maker, yes, and a regulator, yes, but also an economic person, whether it's a CEO or someone who was the Treasury Secretary.

So I don't really have these must-gets in my head. I am trying to lean into the week ahead. We were the first show to show [author] Michael Lewis's quote, ‘The market is rigged,’ and have Larry Summers react to it and then that following week everybody was going crazy over it.

MCN: So, it’s an advantage playing on Sunday?

MB: Yeah, I think so.
