One World Sports has renewed its rights deal with the Yomiuri Giants.

The deal with the Nippon Television Network Corp., financial terms of which were not disclosed, gives One World Sports the right to carry all 71 of the club's home games, beginning with the March 27 opener. All but three of the contests are exclusive to One World Sports in the U.S.

The agreement also provides for rights to live stream the games and showcase video highlights on the network’s Watch One World Sports app.

“Live Giants baseball programming plays an integral role in our plan to build out the channel as the go-to network for global sports,” said Joel Feld, executive vice president, programming and production of One World Sports. “We are fast becoming the destination of choice for fans of international sports content regardless of the platform and we are in prime position to grow the category while providing significant value to our distribution, sales and marketing partners.”

"We have built a good relationship with One World Sports and have broadcast the Giants' baseball games in the United States for two years,” said Yukiko Kimishima, divisional president, International Business Development, Nippon TV. “We are pleased to continue broadcasting the games in the United States for the 2015 season. I hope more and more Americans will enjoy the Japanese baseball games and teams throughout the season. I also hope that this season's broadcast will strengthen the connection between Nippon Professional Baseball and U.S. Major League Baseball."

One World Sports, available to some 30 million homes via affiliate pacts with Verizon FiOS, Dish Network, Charter Communications, Cablevision, Mediacom Communications, Google Fiber, RCN and a number of systems through the National Cable Television Cooperative's master agreement, will have Ed Cohen, who recently signed a multiyear agreement with the network, Jon Meterparel and Keith Irizarry call the Giants' action.
