                                <p>Andrew Reinsdorf has left AT&T's policy shop to move over to co-owned WarnerMedia </p><p>Reinsdorf has been named SVP government relations, overseeing federal and state legislative affairs for the AT&T media and entertainment arm, whose assets include HBO, HBO Go, Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, truTV, CNN, New Line, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and Turner Classic Movies. </p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="F5eHQVPpqn5EA4z4den9wK" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/F5eHQVPpqn5EA4z4den9wK.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/F5eHQVPpqn5EA4z4den9wK.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>“Andrew’s two decades of experience in media and content distribution uniquely position him </p><p>to advance the business priorities of WarnerMedia,” said John Stankey, AT&T president and WarnerMedia CEO.</p><p>Related: AT&T, Time Warner Cleared to Merge </p><p>He has been SVP of video policy at AT&T dealing with issues including law and regulation for video streaming so the move makes sense given the implications for the WarnerMedia stable of high-value video content.  </p><p>Before joining AT&T, Reinsdord was SVP at the National Association of Broadcasters, served a stint at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/directv-elevates-reinsdorf-svp-government-affairs-266602" data-original-url="https://www.multichannel.com/news/directv-elevates-reinsdorf-svp-government-affairs-266602">and ran DirecTV's Washington office</a> (DirecTV is also owned by AT&T) as SVP. </p><p>“I am excited to lead government affairs for such an iconic media and entertainment company that is at the forefront of content creation and innovative distribution,” said Reinsdorf in a statement.</p>
