The Pennyrile Electric utility wants Time Warner Cable to pay two years' worth of fees for attachments to utility poles or will disconnect the cable company from those poles, the Kentucky New Era site reported.

The site quoted Time Warner Cable as saying there would be no service disruption and that customers should be assured "we will take all necessary steps to ensure they won’t lose service due to Pennyrile Electric’s outrageous demands and actions,” the site reported.

Rising pole-attachment fees are of concern to cable companies across the country under the expected, upcoming Title II regulatory regime for broadband service providers. (See "ACA: Higher Pole Rates Is One Potential Title II Hit.")
