Boyle novel of the same name; and adult animated comedy <em>The New V.I.P.’s</em>, from Steve Dildarian (<em>The Life & Times of Tim</em>), which follows a group of low level employees that seize control of a major corporation after accidentally murdering their boss.</p><p>On the scripted drama front, Amazon will roll out <em>The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel</em>, from creator Amy Sherman-Palladino<a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0792371/">(<em>Gilmore Girls</em>) and starring Tony Shalhoub (<em>Monk</em>), explores the life of a 1958 New York City woman who goes from uptown housewife to stand-up comic in Greenwich Village; and <em>Oasis</em>, from Matt Charman (<em>Bridge of Spies</em>), that follows a chaplain who is sent into space to help establish a colony on a distant planet. Richard Madden (<em>Game of Thrones</em>), Haley Joel Osment (<em>The Sixth Sense</em>, <em>Alpha House</em>) and Anil Kapoor (<em>Slumdog Millionaire, 24</em>) will star in the pilot, said Amazon.</a></p><p>“Pilots continue to be the best way to take risks, find voices and evolve the art form of television,” Joe Lewis, Amazon Studios’ Head of Comedy, Drama & VR said in a statement. “We’re excited about these new worlds, characters and filmmakers. We’re looking forward to another Amazon Pilot Season and more great customer feedback.”</p>

Scott Fitzgerald; <em>Highston</em>, a comedy which follows a 19-year old with a wide circle of celebrity friends that only he can see and featuring NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal and Flea (<em>The Big Lewbowski</em>); and western-themed <em>Edge</em>, based on George Gilman’s best-selling book series of the same name starring Max Martini (<em>Pacific Rim, Captain Phillips</em>) and Ryan Kwanten (<em>True Blood).</em></p><p>Also on the docket are <em>Good Girls Revolt,</em> which follows a group of female journalists facing sexual discrimination in the late 1960’s; <em>One Mississippi</em>, executive produced by Louis CK (<em>Louie</em>) follows a young woman dealing with the complex reentry into her childhood hometown of Bay Saint Lucille, Mississippi; and <em>Patriot</em>, a political thriller that follows the life of an intelligent officer tasked with preventing Iran from going nuclear.</p><p>Amazon’s fall pilot season also features several kids shows, including pre-school targeted shows <em>If You Give A Mouse A Cookie</em> and <em>The Numberlys</em>; animated series <em>Danger & Eggs, Eddie of the Realms Eternal and Everstar;</em> and <em>t</em>ween targeted series <em>Yoyotoki HappyEars!</em></p>

All pilots will be available through the Amazon Instant Video app on such devices as Amazon Fire TV, iPads, Roku, Xbox, PlayStation and Wii, as well as through  Amazon.com/AIV to watch online.</p><p> “We are working with great storytellers on some fascinating ideas for the year’s first pilot season,” said Roy Price, Vice President, Amazon Studios. “We look forward to seeing our customers’ response to these new projects.”</p>

Dick's Hugo book of the same name which ponders what would have happened if the Allied Powers had lost World War II; and <em>Point of Honor</em> produced by Carlton Cuse (<em>Lost</em>) about Virginia family in the midst of the Civil War who make the controversial decision to defend the South while freeing all of their slaves.</p><p>Also on the docket are half-hour pilots <em>Down Dog</em> which focuses on a 30-something yoga instructor whose life turns when he breaks up with his longtime girlfriend; and <em>Salem Rogers</em>, which chronicles the life of a hard-partying former supermodel who is forced to face her past and re-enter the real world after 10 years in a posh rehab center.</p><p>Amazon will also develop <em>The New Yorker Presents</em>, a docu-series pilot produced in cooperation with the award-winning magazine.</p><p>Amazon will choose which pilots will be greenlit for full seasons based on viewer input</p><p>“Our first pilot season of 2015 brings some of the greatest storytellers in the business to Amazon customers with works of novelty and passion," said Roy Price, Vice President, Amazon Studios in a statement. "We’re very excited by these shows and look forward to getting customers’ reactions next year.”</p>
