Amazon will look to build on its lineup of original scripted series by releasing five new show pilots on March 17, the network said Thursday.

The pilots, which Amazon customers can review and vote on to determine which become full-fledged series, include three half-hour comedy series and two hour-long drama shows, according to the company. The comedy series include The Legend of Master Legend, from Noah Harpster and Micah Fitzerman-Blue (Transparent) that follows a homemade superhero in Las Vegas juggling the demands of his duty and his family; Budding Prospects, from Terry Zwigoff (Bad Santa), is an 1980s marijuana-themed comedy based on the T.C. Boyle novel of the same name; and adult animated comedy The New V.I.P.’s, from Steve Dildarian (The Life & Times of Tim), which follows a group of low level employees that seize control of a major corporation after accidentally murdering their boss.

On the scripted drama front, Amazon will roll out The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, from creator Amy Sherman-Palladino(Gilmore Girls) and starring Tony Shalhoub (Monk), explores the life of a 1958 New York City woman who goes from uptown housewife to stand-up comic in Greenwich Village; and Oasis, from Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies), that follows a chaplain who is sent into space to help establish a colony on a distant planet. Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense, Alpha House) and Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire, 24) will star in the pilot, said Amazon.

Amazon Studios has released six new, scripted pilots as part of its fall pilot season, the company said Thursday.

Among the new pilots available for Amazon subscribers to vote on for potential series include Z (pictured), a bio-series starring Christina Ricci (Monster) and based on the life of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, wife of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald; Highston, a comedy which follows a 19-year old with a wide circle of celebrity friends that only he can see and featuring NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal and Flea (The Big Lewbowski); and western-themed Edge, based on George Gilman’s best-selling book series of the same name starring Max Martini (Pacific Rim, Captain Phillips) and Ryan Kwanten (True Blood).

Also on the docket are Good Girls Revolt, which follows a group of female journalists facing sexual discrimination in the late 1960’s; One Mississippi, executive produced by Louis CK (Louie) follows a young woman dealing with the complex reentry into her childhood hometown of Bay Saint Lucille, Mississippi; and Patriot, a political thriller that follows the life of an intelligent officer tasked with preventing Iran from going nuclear.

Amazon’s fall pilot season also features several kids shows, including pre-school targeted shows If You Give A Mouse A Cookie and The Numberlys; animated series Danger & Eggs, Eddie of the Realms Eternal and Everstar; and tween targeted series Yoyotoki HappyEars!

Amazon Studios will roll out its latest slate of original pilots on Jan. 15, the company announced Monday.

Amazon Instant Video subscribers will be able to watch seven new original pilots including hour-long shows Cocked, Mad Dogs, Man in the High Castle and Point of Honor; half-hour shows Down Dog and Salem Rogers, and documentary series The New Yorker Presents, said the company.

Amazon will also roll out six new kids pilots, including Buddy: Tech Detective, Sara Solves It, The Stinky & Dirty Show, Niko and the Sword of Light, Table 58 and Just Add Magic, said network officials.

As with past Amazon pilot seasons, customers will be invited to watch and provide feedback on the shows they want to see turned into full series. All pilots will be available through the Amazon Instant Video app on such devices as Amazon Fire TV, iPads, Roku, Xbox, PlayStation and Wii, as well as through  Amazon.com/AIV to watch online.

 “We are working with great storytellers on some fascinating ideas for the year’s first pilot season,” said Roy Price, Vice President, Amazon Studios. “We look forward to seeing our customers’ response to these new projects.”

Amazon will offer seven new original pilots to Amazon Prime subscribers early next year as part of its 2015 pilot season, the company announced Tuesday.

The pilots include one-hour shows Cocked, which follows a  man who leaves his family but returns home 20 years later to help run his family’s gun business; Mad Dogs from Cris Cole (The Bill) and Shawn Ryan (The Shield) about a reunion of underachieving forty-something friends; The Man in the High Castle, based on Philip K. Dick's Hugo book of the same name which ponders what would have happened if the Allied Powers had lost World War II; and Point of Honor produced by Carlton Cuse (Lost) about Virginia family in the midst of the Civil War who make the controversial decision to defend the South while freeing all of their slaves.

Also on the docket are half-hour pilots Down Dog which focuses on a 30-something yoga instructor whose life turns when he breaks up with his longtime girlfriend; and Salem Rogers, which chronicles the life of a hard-partying former supermodel who is forced to face her past and re-enter the real world after 10 years in a posh rehab center.

Amazon will also develop The New Yorker Presents, a docu-series pilot produced in cooperation with the award-winning magazine.

Amazon will choose which pilots will be greenlit for full seasons based on viewer input
