A comedy about the trials and tribulations of a single woman serving as a caregiver for her disabled adult sister has become the latest pickup for Charter’s new Spectrum Original Content division, Variety reports.

E is for Edie is created by writer Jeanie Bergen, who reportedly based the story on own life. Bergen’s script earner her one of five coveted positions in Aaron Sorkin’s Master Class for screenwriting. Bergen previously wrote for the Verizon go90 series Zac & Mia.

It’s the second series acquisition for Charter Original Series under the direction of former NBCU and Fox executive Katherine Pope. In June, the new production unit picked up LA’s Finest, a buddy cop drama starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba that was originally slated to go to NBC.

Charter did not immediately respond to inquiries for comment about the new series acquisition.

Last year, Charter entered agreements with AMC Networks and Viacom, in which the cable company would have first U.S. rights, and the media companies would own subsequent windows.

“We see original content as a way to further differentiate the Spectrum customer experience,” Charter said in a statement issued in January. “We have previously announced our co-production plans with AMC and Viacom, and we will continue to explore opportunities for the development of original content. We have no comment beyond that at this time.
