                                <p>The <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/altice-usa-charter-comcast-form-new-ny-interconnect-417070">New York Interconnect</a> said CEO Ed Renicker will retire on December 31 after 35 years in media sales.</p><p>The NYI board of directors plans to begin a search for a successor to Renicker, who will remain as an adviser for a period of time, the interconnect said.</p><p>Keith Bowen, president of news and advertising at Altice USA; David Kline, president of Charter Communications’s Spectrum Reach; and James Rooke, president of Comcast Advertising, serve on the NYI board.</p><p>Renicker has been CEO at NYI since 2018. Before that, he was chief operating officer of Altice Media Solutions. He sent most of his career with Cablevision Systems, which was acquired by Altice USA in 2016, beginning as an account executive. </p><p>“It has been a tremendous honor to serve as CEO of NYI for the last 4 years, and a privilege to have been a part of this organization for the last 35 years," said Renicker. </p><p>“I couldn’t be more proud of what my incredible team of colleagues and I have accomplished together over the years. I want to thank our loyal clients, as well as our board of directors for their ongoing support,” he said. “As I reflected on how much we have accomplished over the years, the strength of our team and my family’s decision to leave New York full-time, the time was right to find a new leader to take NYI to its next phase of growth. I have great confidence in our team and our leadership and I look forward to watching the continued success of NYI for years to come.”  ■</p>

                                <p>Altice USA, Charter Communications and Comcast Corp. said they have reached a preliminary agreement to create a new Interconnect for the New York market, providing a one-stop advertising solution for the more than 6.2 million households in the New York Metro area. Altice Media Solutions president and current head of the New York Interconnect Ed Renicker will serve as CEO of the new initiative.</p><p>According to the companies, the new Interconnect will provide marketers, agencies and advertisers, an enhanced way to strategically reach audiences across TV and digital platforms and is expected to launch early in the second quarter of next year.</p><p>The new Interconnect will provide advertising clients with access to households served by Altice USA, Charter and Comcast as well as other MVPDs serving the New York DMA. It will also manage all DMA-wide, non-local advertising sales on both News 12 Networks and Spectrum News NY1, two of the top hyperlocal news stations in the New York tri-state area.</p><p>“I am incredibly pleased to take the Interconnect to the next level by partnering with Altice USA, Comcast and Charter to establish a platform that will make it easier and more effective for advertising clients to reach consumers in the all-important New York tri-state area,” Renicker said in a statement. “The new Interconnect will be a one-stop shop for video advertisers and agencies who want to reach the largest television audiences, whether broadly across the entire DMA or in a more targeted way.”</p><p>With the new Interconnect, advertisers in the New York DMA will gain access to a number of advanced advertising products and will have the ability to place ads on 85 cable networks, as well as offering highly-optimized linear and digital planning tools and campaign measurement.</p>
