Nick Jonas will host the 2021 Billboard Music Awards from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. It happens May 23 and NBC airs the event. 

Jonas shared the news on Today April 30.

Jonas is a member of the Jonas Brothers. His film work includes Goat and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. He’s a coach on NBC competition series The Voice. 

Last year’s Billboard Music Awards happened in October after initially being scheduled for late April. Kelly Clarkson hosted, as she did in 2018 and 2019. 

Barry Adelman and Robert Deaton are executive producers for the telecast. 

Billboard Music Awards' finalists and winners are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners. 

Nick Jonas will be host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live Feb. 27. It is Jonas’s first time hosting and second time as solo musical guest on the NBC program. 

Jonas, who came to fame as part of the Jonas Brothers, will perform his song “Spaceman,” due out Feb. 25. 

He returns as a coach on NBC competition series The Voice, which is on March 1. Jonas is in the movie Chaos Walking, which premieres March 5. 

Others who have done double duty as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live include Harry Styles, Halsey and Justin Timberlake. 

Saturday Night Live is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.

Nick Jonas returns to The Voice for the 20th season on NBC. The season begins in spring 2021. Jonas will join John Legend, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson, who are the current coaches alongside Gwen Stefani. 

Jonas, part of the Jonas Brothers, is a singer, songwriter, actor and producer. He joined The Voice as a coach in season 18 earlier this year. 

This season, The Voice is averaging a 1.4 rating in viewers 18-49 and 9.5 million viewers in “live plus seven day” Nielsens, according to NBC. 

The Voice is a presentation of MGM Television, Warner Horizon Unscripted Television and ITV Studios The Voice USA, Inc. The series was created by John de Mol, who is an executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson and Adam H. Sher.

Sunday’s 2014 Nickelodeon HALO Awards telecast drew 3 million viewers across three networks, Nick said Tuesday.

The pro-social awards show, which was simulcast on Nickelodeon, TeenNick and Nicktoons, averaged 2.4 million viewers on Nickelodeon. The kids-targeted network posted double-digit increases in several key kids demos compared to last year’s telecast, said network officials.

TeenNick also posted double-digit increases among kids 6 to 11 and triple-digit gains on Nicktoons within the 12 to 17 demo.

The Nick Cannon-produced show, which celebrates regular kids doing exceptional things within their communities, featured musical performances by Nick Jonas, Jessie J, Meghan Trainor, Echosmith, The Vamps and Fifth Harmony.

Hip Hop group The Roots and pop group Fifth Harmony are set to join the concert lineup for the Nickelodeon HALO Awards, premiering Nov. 30 at 7 p.m., the network announced today.

They will be joining Jessie J, Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Echosmith and The Vamps, along withspecial appearances by Zendaya, Carlos PenaVega and Stars from Instant Mom, The Thundermans and The Haunted Hathaways.

The special honors five kids who are "Helping and Leading Others” (HALO) in their communities. Each will be awarded a grant, scholarship funds and the chance to connect with celebrities who share their same passion.

In its sixth year, the awards ceremony is sponsored by Green Giant™, Reese’s Puffs Cereal and Dave & Buster's.

Produced by Superfly in connection with Nickelodeon Productions, Nick Cannon, Alex Coletti, Jay Schmalholz and Shelly Sumpter Gillyard serve as executive producers. 

Creator Nick Cannon will host the event, which will air across Nick networks and be available to stream live on Nick.com, the Nick App and Nick Radio. 

This year, the honorees include 15-year-old Lulu Cerone of Los Angeles, California; 18-year-old Yash Gupta of Irvine, California; Cassandra Lin, 16, of Westerly, R.I.; Nicholas Lowinger, 16, Cranston, R.I.; and Alanna Wall, 14, Dayton, Ohio.

Nickelodeon and TeenNick’s annual Halo Awards will morph into a one-hour concert event to premiere across several Nick networks on Nov. 30.

The Nick Cannon-produced Halo Awards telecast, which recognizes real-life kids doing extraordinary things in their communities, will feature musical performances from Jessie J (pictured), Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Echosmith and The Vamps, said network officials. Previous Halo Awards telecasts featured a traditional awards-based format.

Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons and Nick Jr. will telecast the sixth annual Halo Awards telecast, while Nick.com, and the Nick App will live stream the event, said network officials.
