                                <p>TBS and MTV will become the cable syndicated homes to Twentieth Century Fox’s comedy <em>New Girl</em>.</p><p>The Zooey Deschannel-starrer, which will bow its fourth campaign on Fox on Sept. 16, will make its cable debut in fall 2015.</p><p>The deal with Twentieth Television spans five years and follows <a href="http://deadline.com/2014/08/able-rights-to-new-girl-go-to-tbs-mtv-817995/">Netflix’s agreement for the show’s subscription video on demand rights</a>.</p><p>TBS said  the two networks will share exclusive cable rights to the show for the first year of the deal, with each holding certain exclusive hours to present the show. For its part, TBS’s initial game plan calls for it to air <em>New Girl</em> as part of its afternoon and/or early evening block of contemporary comedies, including <em>Friends</em>.</p><p>MTV said it was eyeing an afternoon slot.</p><p>The biggest comedy newcomer of the 2011 TV season, <em>New Girl </em>is produced by Chernin Entertainment in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Creator Liz Meriwether, Dave Finkel, Brett Baer, Jake Kasdan, Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope serve as executive producers.</p>
