Netflix’s original series Never Have I Ever will debut its fourth and final season on June 8, according to the streamer.

The series, created by Mindy Kaling, follows the complicated life of a modern-day, first-generation Indian American teenage girl Devi Vishwakumar, played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. The fourth season will chronicle Devi and her friends as they navigate through their senior year of high school, according to Netflix.

Also starring in Never Have I Ever are Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Jaren Lewison and Darren Barnet.

The series is executive produced by Kaling, Lang Fisher, Howard Klein and David Miner.

HBO Max has renewed its Mindy Kaling-produced comedy series The Sex Lives of College Girls in advance of the show's season two finale.

The series chronicles the exploits of college roommates attending a prestigious New England college. The second season, which concludes December 15 with a two-episode finale, followed the students as they returned after their fall break to tackle the challenges thrown their way at the end of season one and to face a new semester filled with new faces, parties and predicaments, according to the network.

The second season of The Sex Lives of College Girls has been the most-watched HBO Max original series since launching this past November. Last week’s episode release day on the streaming service set a new record for the series by delivering an audience more than double that of the series launch in 2021, said the streaming service.

HBO Max will return to school in November with the second season of its comedy series The Sex Lives of College Girls.

The 10-episode second season of the Mindy Kaling-created series will debut November 17 and will again chronicle the lives of four college roommates attending a prestigious New England college.

According to HBO Max, the girls will look to tackle the challenges thrown their way at the end of season one while facing the next semester filled with new faces, parties and predicaments, according to the streaming service.

The series stars Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp, and Alyah Chanelle Scott, as well as Mekki Leeper, Christopher Meyer, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Lolo Spencer, Renika Williams and Mitchell Slaggert.

The Sex Lives of College Girls is executive produced by Kaling, Justin Noble and Howard Klein. ■

HBO Max has greenlit a new season for its freshman series The Sex Lives of College Girls.

The series, which follows the lives of four freshman college roommates as they explore their new, free lives on campus, will end its 10-episode first season Dec. 9 on the streaming service. The series stars Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp and Alyah Chanelle Scott.

The Sex Lives of College Girls is executive produced by Mindy Kaling, Howard Klein and Justin Noble.

HBO Max premieres the Mindy Kaling comedy-drama The Sex Lives of College Girls Nov. 18. Kaling and Justin Noble created the show, about four college roommates in New England. “A bundle of contradictions and hormones, these girls are equal parts lovable and infuriating as they live out their new, free lives on campus,” according to HBO Max. 

In the cast are Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp and Alyah Chanelle Scott. 

Two episodes are available on premiere day. Three more are shared on both Nov. 25 and Dec. 2, and the final two roll Dec. 9. 

The New York Times said of the series, "It is absolutely about college girls, and those girls do have sex lives. But anyone hoping for the scripted series version of Girls Gone Wild or Playboy’s Women of the Ivy League will have to look elsewhere. The show instead treats undergraduate intimacy with the friendly skepticism it deserves. There’s mortification, bewilderment, klutzy desire and sometimes, between rounds of beer pong, the stirrings of self-discovery."

Noble is the showrunner and Howard Klein executive produces with Noble and Kaling. The series is produced by Kaling International and 3 Arts Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Kaling created Never Have I Ever on Netflix and The Mindy Project on Fox. She got her start playing Kelly on The Office.

Netflix Thursday said it has renewed its original comedy series Never Have I Ever, part of several programming announcements revealed during the streaming service’s virtual TCA Summer Press Tour session.

The Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher-produced series will continue to follow the complicated life of a modern-day, first generation Indian American teenage girl, played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. Other cast members returning for the third season include Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Jaren Lewison, Darren Barnet,  Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young.

“We are so grateful to Netflix and Universal Television for letting us continue to tell this story, and to the fans around the world who clamored to see more of this badly behaved Indian teenager,” said Kaling and Fisher in a statement.

In other news, Netflix will launch the third season of its competition series The Circle on  Sept. 8. Michelle Buteau will return to host the four-episode, social media competition series, which will debut episodes on a weekly basis, said the service.

VH1 and Freeform have acquired rights to the first five seasons of The Mindy Project as part of a deal between the networks and NBCUniversal.

The series, created and starring Mindy Kaling, will appear on both VH1 and Freeform as well as their respective online apps beginning in October, said network officials. The fifth season of The Mindy Project will air on Hulu beginning Oct. 4.

The Mindy Project previously aired on Fox broadcasting network.

“We are pleased that VH1 and Freeform recognize the value of The Mindy Project for their viewers,” stated Frances Manfredi, President, NBCUniversal Television and New Media Distribution.  “VH1 and Freeform are great partners and The Mindy Project will be a great addition to their strong programming.”

Hulu will develop new episodes of the comedy series The Mindy Project, which was recently cancelled byFox, the OTT service said Friday.

Hulu will produce season four of the series with an order of 26 episodes as part of an agreement with Universal Television, said Hulu officials. The series, which stars Mindy Kaling as an OB/GYN dealing with issues in her personal and professional life, is executively produced by Kaling, Howard Klien, Matt Warburton, Charlie Grandy and Michael Spiller.

Hulu has exclusive rights to the first three seasons of the series as part of a comprehensive content deal with NBCUniversal in 2014. Fox cancelled the series last week after three seasons.

“Mindy has been a beloved member of the Hulu family, so this deal is a natural extension of our relationship,” said Craig Erwich, Senior Vice President and Head of Content, Hulu. “With so many of her fans already catching up and tuning in to the series on Hulu, we know her millions of fans will be eager to find out what Mindy has in store for the next chapter.” 

The Mindy Project joins other recently announced Hulu original series including 11/22/63, Difficult People, Casual, and The Way.
