                                <figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="fFJMeyyvKuXrLhXR9UEZDH" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/fFJMeyyvKuXrLhXR9UEZDH.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/fFJMeyyvKuXrLhXR9UEZDH.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>Mediacom Business has inked a deal to deliver speeds up to 10 Gbps over fiber to commercial buildings owned by R&R Realty Group in the Des Moines, Iowa, metro area.</p><p>Mediacom said it will offset construction costs and installation timeframes for R&R Realty Group to deliver service to over 6.3 million square feet of office, flex and industrial space that were previously unserved by the Mediacom Business network.</p><p>The deployment is part of a broader plan <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/mediacom-unveils-1b-capital-investment-plan-403282" data-original-url="https://www.multichannel.com/news/mediacom-unveils-1b-capital-investment-plan-403282">announced by Mediacom in March to invest $1 billion over the next three years</a> for a number of projects, including “Project Gigabit,” an upgrade and expansion initiative that will bring 1-Gig broadband to “virtually all” of the 3 million homes and businesses in the MSO’s footprint, which covers about 1,500 communities in 22 states.</p><p>“Our agreement with R&R Realty Group kicks off a companywide initiative to proactively connect more businesses to our network known as Project Open Road,” Ed Pardini, SVP of field operations for Mediacom, said in a statement. “Once complete, we will be able to bring up to 10-Gig speeds right to the doorsteps of the R&R Realty buildings located in the Des Moines Metro Area, providing their tenants with a choice for high-capacity broadband.” </p>

Our strategic relationship with Mediacom Business continues to grow – largely as a result of their deep understanding of advanced broadband networking backed by a robust, dedicated Internet connection provided by Mediacom Business.”</p><p>Dan Templin, SVP of Mediacom Business, said in the release "we’ll have experienced, local technicians on hand before and during races to ensure maximum connectivity to our network by members of the media. Iowa Speedway is a race venue known for being the ‘fastest short track on the planet’, and Mediacom Business is known for our hyper-fast broadband connections. It’s a perfect partnership which brings unprecedented advanced broadband, voice and video services to Iowa Speedway over our extensive fiber optic network.”</p><p><a href="http://www.iowaspeedway.com/aspx/RacePage.aspx?pid=2">NASCAR-owned</a> Iowa Speedway is the first-ever driver designed speedway. The Rusty Wallace designed track offers 7/8 mile tri-oval racing with 12-13-14 degree compound banking in the turns and covers 600 acres of land. The tri-oval is 60 feet wide and includes a 20 foot apron.
