Jeffrey A. Hirsch has signed a new long-term deal to serve as president and CEO of Starz. Formerly chief operating officer of the Lionsgate-owned network, Hirsch had been running the premium channel for nearly one year.

Brett Weitz has been named general manager of TBS, TNT and truTV, adding oversight for a third WarnerMedia network to his responsibilities. Previously executive VP, programming for TBS, he had been GM of TBS and TNT.

Kristen Soltis Anderson has joined Fox News Channel as a contributor. Co-founder of research and analytics firm Echelon Insights, she regularly appeared on ABC News and MSNBC’s Morning Joe. … SCTE/ISBE also announced its other board officers for 2019-20 at Cable Tec Expo: vice chairman Kevin Hart, executive VP and chief product and technology officer, Cox Communications; treasurer Meena Soleiman, VP, finance and business operations, Comcast and secretary Steve Williams, VP of DOCSIS network operations, Charter. She is the former chief accounting officer of General Electric.
