Saluting the best and brightest in technology, NewBay Media, parent of Multichannel News, is introducing a new awards program at the 2014 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo later this month.

The Multichannel News Innovator Awards will honor distinctive new products at the 2014 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, slated for Sept. 22-25 in Denver.

Winners will be selected by a panel of cable executives and Multichannel News contributors, based on descriptions provided by exhibitors via a nomination form, as well as upon the judges’ inspection at the Expo.

“Multichannel News, the leader in cable technology coverage, is excited to launch our Innovator Awards at the 2014 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo,” said Louis Hillelson, vice president, group publisher of Multichannel News and Broadcasting & Cable. “With so much technological innovation taking place in our market it was important we launch and salute the top innovators taking a lead role in shaping the industry of today and tomorrow.”

The award winners will be cited in an upcoming issue of Multichannel News. All nominated products will be featured in the “MCN Innovator Guide” that will be distributed in digital form to readers of those publications after the convention. Multichannel News is the official publication provider of the 2014 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo.

SCTE exhibitors may submit multiple products for consideration. Entries are due at the close of business on Friday, Sept. 5.
