Travel Channel will bring back its unscripted cuisine-themed series Man v. Food after a seven-year hiatus, the network said Monday.

The series, which first premiered on the channel in 2008 with original host Adam Richman (host now of Travel Channel's Secret Eats) before ending in 2010, will return this August with new host Casey Webb (pictured), said network officials. The series will follow Webb as he seeks out food hotspots featuring the spiciest and largest dishes on their menus, according to Travel, which said production starts this week.

“Man v. Food is a true, pop culture phenomenon that has inspired more than 1,000 new restaurant eating challenges in the last several years,” said Courtney White, senior vice president, programming and development, for Travel Channel in a release. “Travel Channel couldn’t resist getting back on the road, visiting cities across the United States, where our ‘Man’ will take on new unbelievable foods and flavors.”
