AMC will debut the third season of its docuseres Life After Lockup on Aug. 27, the network said Wednesday.

The 10-episode series, a spinoff of the network's Love After Lockup series, follows 10 former inmates and their significant others from Love After Lockup as they navigate through through their journey to survive the real world together, according to network officials. 

Life After Lockup is produced by Sharp Entertainment, with Matt Sharp, Dan Adler, Alan Madison and Sophie Mallam serving as executive producers.

We tv will develop a spinoff series from its reality series Love After Lockup, the network announced Tuesday.

The eight-episode spinoff series, Love After Lockup: Life After Lockup, follows five couples featured on the original series – Clint and Tracie; Marcelino and Brittany; Megan, Michael, and Sarah; Scott and Lizzie; and Andrea and Lamar – as they build their post-prison relationships and lives, according to network officials.

Love After Lockup, which chronicles couples making the complicated transition to love on the ‘outside’ when one partner is released from prison, has been a ratings hit for the network, fueling double-digit ratings growth for the network in the first quarter of 2019 across several demos in Nielsen Live + 3 ratings, said We tv. The network recently extended the second season of the series by 10 episodes.

“There was an outpouring of interest from fans who were eager to keep following these unforgettable couples, making it an easy decision to expand this burgeoning franchise with an all-new series,” said Marc Juris, president of WE tv in a statement. "Love After Lockup was a legitimate reality sensation, and Love After Lockup: Life After Lockup will be a must-watch for the show’s passionate fans.”
