HBO has given a three-season renewal to its Emmy Award-winning, late-night talk show Last Week Tonight With John Oliver. 

According to network officials, the deal will keep the series, currently in its 10th season, on the air through its 13th season in 2026. The New York-based series features Oliver's take on the pressing political, social and cultural issues of the day. 

Last Week Tonight With John Oliver has earned 26 Emmy Awards since its premiere in 2014, and is nominated for four 2023 Emmy Awards. 

The series is executive produced by Oliver, Tim Carvell, Liz Stanton, Jon Thoday, and James Taylor.  

“Over the past decade, John and his exceptional team have combined deep research and intelligence with cutting humor to tackle a broad range of subjects, both widely discussed and unconventional,” HBO and Max Content chairman and CEO Casey Bloys said. “With an important election year on the horizon, we look forward to seeing what John has in store for audiences over the next three years.” 

Showtime has re-upped its late-night talk show Desus & Mero for a third season, the network said Wednesday. 

“All of us at Showtime are so proud to have Desus & Mero as our signature late-night series,” said Gary Levine, Showtime Networks president of entertainment in a statement. “They are our very own ‘Bronx Bombers’ who knock it out of the park every episode, with their singular blend of hilarity, authenticity and relevancy.”

Season two of the series -- which features the co-hosts giving their take on the day's hot topics and interviewing guests at the intersection of pop culture, sports, music, politics -- runs weekly through October. 

Desus & Mero is executive produced by Desus Nice, The Kid Mero, Lilly Burns, Tony Hernandez, Victor Lopez, Suzanne Fagel and Mike Pielocik.

E's Busy Tonight will end in May according to the show's star Busy Philipps, who announced the late night talk show's demise in a tweet last night.

Busy Tonight, which launched last November, showcased Philipps providing her opinions on the latest pop culture stories and trending topics through celebrity guest interviews and original comedic segments. In the tweet Philipps says that the show, executive produced by Tina Fey, will end on May 16, adding that she's "proud" of what she's accomplished. 

"I'm beyond proud of what we've built in such a short period of time and I'm hopeful we can find the right place for the show to live on," Philipps said.

E! said in a statement: Busy Tonight's last episode for E! will air Thursday, May 16 with a special celebratory half-hour. Busy is a hilarious and charismatic talent and we are grateful to the entire Busy Tonight team who has delivered countless laughs and heartwarming moments in what will be over 100 episodes."
