USA Network is rebooting Syfy’s 2000’s prank series Scare Tactics, with Jordan Peele helming the project that will launch this fall.

The hidden camera series will look to turn unsuspecting individuals into the main characters of their very own horror movies, according to the network. The original Scare Tactics series, produced by Scott Hallock and Kevin Healey, ran on Syfy from 2003 to 2009. Shannen Doherty, Stephen Baldwin and Tracy Morgan served as hosts during its run. 

According to USA, the unwitting participants — set up by their family and friends — are put in hilariously twisted scenarios with fully immersive stories that blur the lines of reality, horror and comedy.

The Emmy- and Academy Award-winning Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions will produce the series in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio. Peele, Hallock, Win Rosenfeld, Jamal Watson and Elan Gale will serve as executive producers of the series. 

“As one of the most visionary creators of the day, there is nothing Jordan Peele can’t do. We’re honored to be making our first unscripted series together,” NBCUniversal Entertainment executive VP of unscripted content Corie Henson said in a statement. “This brilliant reimagining of the classic Scare Tactics has it all — laughs, jump scares and outrageous moments. In the hands of Jordan and Monkeypaw, you never know what’s coming next!” 

Peacock will stream the Jordan Peele-produced sci-fi film Nope on November 18 along with a documentary revolving around the making of the film.

Nope, which stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun, follows two siblings running a California horse ranch who discover an otherworldly phenomenon in the skies above, according to the streaming service. 

The documentary will focus on the making of Nope, featuring interviews from cast and crew and in-depth behind-the-scenes footage, according to Peacock. 

The movie, which debuted in theaters this past July, garnered more than $120 million at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo.■

The 10-episode series, based on the novel of the same name by Matt Ruff, follows the exploits of an African-American man and his female childhood friend as they travel through 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. Their search-and-rescue turns into a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and monstrous creatures, according to HBO.

The series, executive produced by Misha Green, J.J. Abrams, Jordan Peele, Bill Carraro, Yann Demange, Daniel Sackheim and David Knoller, stars Jonathan Majors, Jurnee Smollett, Courtney B. Vance and Jada Harris.

Season two of The Twilight Zone starts on CBS All Access June 25. All 10 episodes will drop that day. 

The original Twilight Zone debuted on CBS in 1959. Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg brought the series back with new episodes in 2019. Both are executive producers and Peele hosts the program. 

The cast includes Morena Baccarin, Kylie Bunbury, Jenna Elfman, Ethan Embry, Sky Ferreira, Topher Grace, Tony Hale, David Krumholtz, Joel McHale, Chris Meloni, Gretchen Mol and Damon Wayans Jr. 

CBS Television Studios produces The Twilight Zone along with Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Kinberg’s Genre Films. Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Alex Rubens, Glen Morgan, Carol Serling and Rick Berg executive produce the show along with Peele and Kinberg.

Hunters, produced by Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment, was created by David Weil (Moonfall), who serves as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside executive producer Nikki Toscano. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (American Horror Story) directed the pilot and is an executive producer along with Win Rosenfeld (The Twilight Zone, Lorena) from Monkeypaw Productions, Nelson McCormick (Prison Break), and Tom Lesinski (Mr. Mercedes) from Sonar Entertainment.

CBS All Access Thursday revealed the official trailer for its The Twilight Zone reboot, which debuts April 1, according the streaming service.

The series, hosted by Jordan Peele (Key & Peele), will premiere with two episodes on Monday, April 1, followed by all subsequent episodes debuting on Thursdays beginning April 11, said the service. 

The original Twilight Zone premiered on Oct. 2, 1959 on CBS.
