Turner Classic Movies said it will run a film tribute to comedian Jerry Lewis on Labor Day, Sept. 4, in honor of the nearly 50 years the late comic genius spent hosting The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon.

Lewis died Aug. 20 at the age of 91 and experienced success across all media – movies, television, radio, nightclubs and on Broadway -- from his early days with partner Dean Martin, to his solo career writing, producing and directing many of his own films. TCM will air the following movies in tribute to the artist (all times are Eastern):

8:00 p.m.  The Nutty Professor (1963)  - A timid chemist discovers a potion that unleashes his sleazy side

10:00 p.m. The King of Comedy (1983) -  A would-be comic kidnaps a talk-show host to win a guest shot on his show

12:00 a.m. The Stooge (1952) – A failed singer takes on a comedian to create a team act

2:00 a.m. The Bellboy (1960) - An accident-prone bellboy's resemblance to Jerry Lewis causes rampant confusion

3:30 a.m. The Disorderly Orderly (1964) - An inefficient hospital orderly wreaks havoc when he tries to help the patients

Comedian and philanthropist Jerry Lewis will receive the NAB Distinguished Service Award (DSA) at this year’s NAB Show in Las Vegas, during its opening keynote.

The two-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee began the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Labor Day telethon, TV’s top-grossing fundraising program. He also raised $2 billion for the organization during his tenure as its national chairman.

Lewis joins the ranks of former DSA winners that include Mary Tyler Moore, Edward R. Murrow and Oprah Winfrey.
