                                <p>Lifetime and A&E will chronicle the career of 1990’s top-selling female R&B trio TLC in a new documentary airing June 3.</p><p>  </p><div class="youtube-video" data-nosnippet ><div class="video-aspect-box"><iframe data-lazy-priority="high" data-lazy-src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/4J1LMW6sHfk" allowfullscreen></iframe></div></div><p><a href="https://www.nexttv.com/tag/lifetime">Lifetime</a> and <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/tag/A&E">A&E</a> will simulcast the premiere of the two-hour documentary, <em>TLC Forever,</em> which looks at the lives and careers of the Atlanta-based group’s members, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes as they broke boundaries, influenced an entire generation and survived against all odds, according to network officials.</p><p>Surviving group members Watkins and Thomas will discuss the group’s journey along with other music industry colleagues. TLC sold more than 85 million records worldwide and won more than 35 major awards including four Grammy Awards, according to the network.</p><p>The <em>TLC Forever</em> documentary is the latest music project for Lifetime, which last month announced a <em>Janet Jackson: Family First </em>documentary following the Grammy-winning singer debuting later this year.</p>

                                <p><a href="https://www.nextv.com/tag/FX">FX</a> and <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/hulu-everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-og-streaming-service-now-100-under-disney-control">Hulu</a> this November will chronicle performer <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/cbs-fined-550k-jackson-breast-exposure-271015">Janet Jackson’s 2004 Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction</a> in a new<em> The New York Times Presents</em> film debuting Nov. 19.</p><p><em>Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson</em>, features rare footage and interviews with several people who were at the controls of the <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/janet-jackson-case-gets-day-court-30644">halftime show during Super Bowl XXXVIII</a> when performer Justin Timberlake briefly revealed Jackson’s breast during the performance, FX said. The show examines the racial and cultural currents that collided on the Super Bowl stage, and explores how the incident impacted one of the most successful pop musicians in history. </p><p>The film, which will premiere simultaneously on FX and Hulu, also features new reporting by the <em>Times</em>, as well as insights from music industry insiders, cultural critics and members of the Jackson family as it illuminates the extraordinary fallout, and former CBS CEO <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/sexy-halftime-stunt-has-affiliates-fuming-102056">Les Moonves</a>&apos;s role in it, said FX and Hulu. </p><p><em>Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson</em> is directed by Jodi Gomes, who also serves as a producer. Executive producers for <em>The New York Times Presents</em> are Ken Druckerman, Banks Tarver, Mary Robertson, Jason Stallman, Sam Dolnick and Stephanie Preiss.</p><p><em>Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson</em> follows <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/controlling-britney-spears-on-fx-and-hulu-september-24"><em>The New York Times Presents’</em> <em>Controlling Britney Spears</em></a>, the follow-up documentary to <em>Framing Britney Spears </em>that focused on the singer’s conservatorship battle. <em>The New York Times Presents </em>also produced <em>The Killing of Breonna Taylor.</em></p>

                                <p>Lifetime is reaching out to top name female entertainers and sports personalities to develop new scripted series and movies as part of its 2016-17 programming slate.</p><p>The women’s targeted network has signed actress/singer Selena Gomez and <em>House Of Cards</em> star Kevin Spacey to executively produce a new drama based on Gomez’s life. The network has also pinned UFC star Ronda Rousey to a three-picture movie deal that will offer stories that “reflect her passions about empowerment to the screen,” said network officials.</p><p>Lifetime has also signed tennis star Serena Williams to executively produce an original movie Sister Dance, inspired by the annual dance-off competition she hosts with her sister Venus.</p><p>Pop music superstar Janet Jackson will serve as executive producer for a movie based on the 1920’s New York City mobster Queenie.</p><p>Other films include a project based on the life of R&B singer Michel’le and <em>Paris Can Wait</em>, starring Diane Lane and Alec Baldwin and based on Eleanor Coppola’s own life journeys in romance and travel. The movie, directed and written by Coppola, will have a theatrical premiere before debuting on Lifetime, said the network.</p><p>Other scripted series on the docket include <em>A Midsummer’s Nightmare</em>, an anthology series which each season takes a classic Shakespearean tale and twists it into a modern-day horror-mystery; <em>None of The Above</em>, a coming of age drama; <em>Holly Brix Project</em>, about a group of strangers who are brought together by an unknown puppet master, threatening to expose their past misdeeds and hidden lives; <em>Breeders</em>, from Jason Gann (<em>Wilfred</em>), which follows a support group for new parents who eventually reflect on their own high school experiences; and <em>Deadline</em>, a one-hour drama which follows a reporter in a world that values gossip over hard-hitting investigative news.</p><p>New unscripted shows include New unscripted series coming to Lifetime this year include competition series <em>Fashion Inc.</em> and <em>Gold Medal Families</em>, showcasing six Olympic hopefuls and their families.</p>

Performers Ciara, Jason Derulo and Tinashe will perform a special dance tribute to the iconic entertainer, which is set to include her just released single, <em>No Sleeep</em>. </p><p>“This is Janet Jackson, people!  We are excited beyond belief to present her with our inaugural 'Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual' award and we are thrilled that she chose the BET Awards as the first step on her new road,” said BET president of programming Stephen G. Hill in a statement.</p><p><em>The BET Awards</em>, hosted by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, will also include performances by Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill, while Michael Ealy, Sanaa Lathan, Laverne Cox, Michael B.
