Encore Westerns and TCM have detailed marathon programming events featuring the film and TV work of actor James Garner. 

Encore Westerns will air its tribute to Garner, who died on July 19, this Saturday, July 26. The network will honor the actor by airing 12 episodes of Maverick, his series that was originally broadcast on ABC. The episodes will begin airing at 8 a.m. and will continue until the 8 p.m. telecast of the 1971 film Skin Game. The network will air two more Garner films — Support Your Local Gunfighter and A Man Called Sledge — to wrap-up the marathon. 

TCM has scheduled its homage for Monday, June 28. The network will air 12 of Garner’s films throughout the marathon, beginning with Toward the Unknown at 6 a.m. on June 28 and culminating with Marlowe at 4:30 a.m. the following day. Other films to be shown by the network include The Thrill of It All and The Americanization of Emily.
