Verizon Fios and Frontier Communications are also testing 4K TV with SES.</p><p><a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/ses-touts-4k-progress" data-original-url="https://www.multichannel.com/news/ses-touts-4k-progress">RELATED: SES Touts 4K Progress</a></p><p>SES didn’t announce which MVPDs are on board for tomorrow’s 4K offering, but noted that the 4K version of the event will be delivered on the SES Events channel, one in a lineup that is hosted on the SES Ultra HD platform. SES has used that channel to deliver other sporting events in 4K, including Bellator: Sonnen vs. Silva Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and select coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games from PyeongChang.</p><p>“The SES Events channel is readily available for live events to virtually every Pay TV operator across North America,” Steve Corda, VP of media platforms, SES Video in North America, said in a statement.</p><p>Brian Ricco, executive producer for MultiVision Media, told <em>Multichannel News</em> R. Thomas Umstead that all major cable distributors, as well as DirecTV and Dish Network, will offer the event. “This is not an underground event; this is going to be in big arenas featuring full-blown productions,” he told Umstead.</p><p>The <em>BKFC’s first card, featuring</em> 12 bouts, is retailing for $29.99. SES has been asked if the 4K version of the PPV event will be offered for the same price.</p><p>“Events like the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship are immersive building blocks toward an exciting future in Ultra HD television,” noted John Schultz, VP of broadcast operations for InDemand, which is co-owned by Comcast, Charter Communications, and Cox Communications.</p><p>Other channels in SES’s pre-packaged Ultra HD lineup include Fashion One 4K, NASA TV UHD, 4K Universe, Insight TV, C4K360, Funbox UHD, Travelxp 4K, Nature Relaxation 4K, The Country Network, UHD1, and the SES 4K channel (a developmental incubator for emerging content producers). </p>

Basketball fans can order NBA League Passat the half-season package price, which includes digital and mobile access, of $99, or four installments of only $24.75. With the package's purchase, subscribers can access NBA League Pass Digitalon an authenticated basis.</p><p>In addition to the digital access, NBA League Pass presents  creative and free enhancements, including game replays, dual feeds, a mosaic channel, a stats channel and HD games as follows*:</p><p><strong>SAME-DAY REPLAYS</strong>: The service re-airs every game in the package starting approximately one hour after the final buzzer so that fans can see NBA action they might have missed.  Each game is replayed in its entirety and repeats continuously overnight and the next day, on the same channel, until the following day’s live matchups begin. Games are available in both SD and HD (varies by system).</p><p><strong>DUAL FEEDS:</strong> For many games, subscribers also receive innovative dual-feed telecasts, which deliver home-team plus visiting-team local market broadcasts so fans can choose the announcers they prefer.</p><p><strong>MULTI-SCREEN MOSAIC:</strong> Package subscribers receive the popular rotating mosaic of multiple screens that give simultaneous snapshots of all the live-action games being played around the league, along with scores, time clocks and channel locations. The new agreement, coming shortly after UFC 182 (pictured) not only ensures that the UFC's biggest events remain available to residential pay--per-view households, but for the first time affords affiliates electronic sell-through rights of the cards, as well as the ability to proffer subscription service UFC Fight Pass to their authenticated video subscribers. </p><p>In addtion, the deal will see InDemand play a greater role in helping affiliates sell UFC PPV cards to commercial establishments in their territories.</p><p>In Demand said it will deliver every UFC PPV event and purchasers will enjoy longer viewership windows via video on demand and TV Everywhere.. In Demand said TVE availability will vary initially, depending on when affiliates add UFC action to the platforms.</p><p>All events are offered in both standard- and high-definition formats, plus a separate Spanish-language feed.</p><p>“We have been proud to be a part of UFC’s growth from their launch on PPV to their current status as the gold-standard for Mixed Martial Arts, worldwide,' said In Demand executive vice president of proramming and general counsel Michael Berman.                                 <p>A week after its digital bow on a handful of outlets, Sony Pictures Entertainment has reached agreements with InDemand and other on-demand outlets, to open viewing of its controversial comedy, <em>The Interview</em>, to cable, satellite and telco video subscribers.</p><p>The film, starring Seth Rogen and James Franco that ran afoul of sensibilities of North Korea and skunked its planned wide release on Christmas Day, will be available through In Demand affiliates, including owners, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communicaitons and Bright House Networks.<br/></p><p>The movie centers on the fictional assassination of North Korean leader Kim-Jong Un</p><p><em>The Interview</em> also will or has already become accessible to Vubiquity affiliates, including Charter Communications, Cablevision and AT&T U-verse, as well as Verizon FiOS and DirecTV. Vudu, Walmart's digital VOD service, has also reached a pact to offer the film, and it will be accessible via the PlayStation Network on New Year's Day.</p><p>The film will be made available through their VOD and pay-per-view services from $5.99, starting as early as today, and is scheduled to roll out in different markets through the weekend. Customers of Vudu and Verizon have the option to buy a digital version of the film in addition to the VOD rental. </p><p>Financial terms and splits were not disclosed.</p><p>“We have always sought the widest possible distribution for <em>The Interview</em>, and want to thank our new partners for helping us make that happen,” said Michael Lynton, chairman and CEO of Sony Entertainment, in a statement on New Year's Eve.</p><p>Bowing to threats of violence against theaters and potential patrons and caught amidst the hacking scandal that embarassed the studio, the movie became availab<em>le</em> online through Google Play, YouTube Movies, Microsoft’s Xbox Video and iTunes and the dedicated website <a href="https://mail.nbmedia.com/owa/redir.aspx?C=-5tButgsFk-WlGuaRNirfUCfH7_A-NEIFdcT3MeFvTqi0kbsXseAKFyNeLOHjUXPEDsIzmeEQ7o.&URL=http%253a%252f%252fwww.seetheinterview.com">www.seetheinterview.com</a> on Christmas Eve.</p><p>The film opened to some 300 theaters on Christmas Day, a far cry from the 2,500 or more that were expected to be in play before things ran afoul.</p><p>On Friday, Jan. 2, the number of U.S. independent theaters showing the film will increase to over 580, according to Sony.</p><p>Initially, the studio shelved the film in the wake of a cyber attack and threats by hackers that the FBI confirmed to be connected to the North Korean dictatorship.  Subsequently, the <em><a href="http://nypost.com/2014/12/30/new-evidence-sony-hack-was-inside-job-cyber-experts/">New York Post</a></em>and others news outlets are reporting that the cyber corruption may have emanated from a Sony insider.</p>

This promotional content gets participating films added exposure during their MOD premieres. <br/></p><p>All told, the interviews can be seen in over 50 million homes, either through cable barker channels, system websites, in social media and other digital outlets, such as an InDemand's ongoing partnership with independent film website <em>Indiewire</em>.</p><p>Within the past year alone, the company sat down with over 100 stars, including some of Tinseltown's toniest, Cate Blanchett, Sir Ben Kingsley, Paul Rudd, Daniel Radcliffe, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Salma Hayek, Nicolas Cage and the cast of <em>Game of Thrones</em>. <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/indemand-drives-awards-season-movie-buys-contender-conversations-march-madness-style-oscar-brackets-356101" data-original-url="https://www.multichannel.com/news/indemand-drives-awards-season-movie-buys-contender-conversations-march-madness-style-oscar-brackets-356101">InDemand's “Contender Conversations” interview series</a> was a cornerstone of the cable industry’s 2014 Awards Season MOD marketing campaign.</p><p>Since 2012, In DemandProductions has covered TIFF, South by Southwest, AFI Fest, Comic-Con International, New York Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, plus many red carpet premieres and junkets to shoot promotional videos which support films’ VOD airings on behalf MOD on cable nationwide.
