                                <figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="Yj4X2csxQtqYywedtvAj74" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Yj4X2csxQtqYywedtvAj74.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Yj4X2csxQtqYywedtvAj74.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>iLook, a startup that bills itself as an online pay-TV platform, has launched a system that’s designed to convert YouTube channels into mobile video apps “that behave like television networks.”</p><p>iLook said users need only login to their YouTube channel from <a href="http://www.ilook.tv">www.ilook.tv</a>, where its TVapp platform automatically generates a mobile app and submits it to supported app stores, where it then becomes available for download by consumers.</p><p>According to iLook, a startup that aims to create TV marketplace for video aggregators, video owners and advertisers, its users do not need to code their mobile apps or sign up for a separate iOS or Android developer account.</p><p>The company said it also enables advanced features such as video uploading (linking one or more YouTube channels to the user’s iLook account), syndication (exporting and importing videos from other iLook user accounts), and three “monetization methods” – pay-per-view, subscriptions and ad insertion.</p><p>“Owners of long-tail YouTube channels are now able to attract attention and monetize like traditional TV networks, by co-locating on the same mobile screens with cable channel apps like CNN and MTV,” said iLook CEO Peter Redford, in a statement.</p><p>San Jose-based iLook was founded in 2009.</p>
