AMC Networks said it launched AMC Plus on YouTube TV Tuesday, adding to a list of distributors for the premium subscription bundle that includes Comcast, AT&T/DirecTV, Dish Network, Amazon, Apple TV and Roku.

AMC Plus debuted in June with carriage on Comcast and offers new and library content across the company’s networks including all seven seasons of Mad Men, as well as Hell on Wheels, NOS4A2, The Little Drummer Girl, McMafia, Rubicon and Dispatches from Elsewhere. across AMC Network properties including  AMC, BBC America, Shudder, WeTV,  IFC and others. 

In addition to original programming, the subscription service offers network and SVOD content from AMC (including current series from AMC and BBC America, IFC and Sundance anytime) Shudder (original and classic horror uncut and commercial free); IFC Film Unlimited (theatrically released and award-winning titles from IFC Film); Sundance Now (original and exclusive series) and the AMC Plus linear premium channel. AMC Plus will be an add-on to the standard YouTube TV subscription and priced at about $6.99 per month.   

“We are thrilled to make AMC Plus available to YouTube TV subscribers,” AMC Plus general manager Courtney Thomasma said in a press release. “Especially as we head into April, which is one of the biggest months of the year for Shudder as it marks ‘Halfway to Halloween’ with the return of Creepshow and its huge celebration of horror, thriller and supernatural programming, we know new and existing subscribers will appreciate everything AMC Plus has to offer.”

IFC Films has announced the launch of its subscription video on demand (SVOD) platform, IFC Films Unlimited.

The streaming service will have a $5.99-a-month price tag and feature all-you-can-watch access to IFC’s indie and documentary film catalog, which includes titles such as Y Tu Mamá También, The Thin Blue Line, The Trip, 45 Years, and Two Days, One Night.

IFC Unlimited is launching in conjunction with the ongoing Cannes Film Festival and is available at this point only through Amazon Channels, the direct-to-consumer video app marketplace set up within Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon has not said what OTT platforms its SVOD app will support.

“Over our nearly 20-year history, we’ve been fortunate to have established a rich library of the best in independent film and we thought the time was right to create an IFC Films-branded platform,” said Lisa Schwartz, IFC Films co-president, in a statement. “Bringing together a broad collection of films that span our many labels and genres, IFC Films Unlimited will be a general entertainment destination for specialty film fans.”

Lisa Schwartz has been named co-president (along with Jonathan Sehring) of Sundance Selects/IFC Films, promoted upward from executive vice president of distribution, operations and business development. Sehring said in a statement: “Lisa’s vast experience and deep industry relationships have made her an extraordinary leader here over the past decade. The time has come to fully acknowledge that and make her my full partner in running this company moving forward. In an ever-changing landscape, with countless new revenue streams and a myriad of new emerging platforms, Lisa’s expertise and knowledge allows us to always be one step ahead in positioning us as a continued leader in the independent film space.”

She has led distribution efforts for the AMC Networks-owned independent studio division at a time when video-on-demand -- including day-and-date releases in theaters and on VOD, which she helped pioneer -- has become a huge part of the business. She has been the senior distribution strategist for the division, responsible for creating, identifying and securing revenue-generating opportunities. She maintained oversight of all domestic and foreign distribution for IFC Films and Sundance Selects’ operations across all platforms, including theatrical, premium VOD, pay TV, digital, portable devices, home video and all emerging new platforms. She was also part of the core team that helped to launch IFC Midnight (2010), distributing genre entertainment; Sundance Selects (2009), distributing prestige American films, world cinema and documentaries; and the SundanceNow online movie service.
