                                <p><a href="https://www.nexttv.com/tag/charter" data-original-url="https://www.multichannel.com/tag/charter">Charter</a>’s Spectrum Enterprise division has announced a partnership with video systems integrator Moviebeam to deliver hotels a new in-room guest entertainment service.</p><p>The new service will leverage Spectrum Enterprise’s Fiber Connect Plus TV, which features more than 200 HD channels, with proprietary Moviebeam technology to create a customizable platform.</p><p><a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/spectrum-enterprise-beefs-up-tv-offering" data-original-url="https://www.multichannel.com/news/spectrum-enterprise-beefs-up-tv-offering">Related: Spectrum Enterprise Beefs Up its TV Offering</a></p><p>Hoteliers can deliver custom content and provide concierge information to guests that features local attractions and services. Charter said that offering, which doesn’t require on-premises headend equipment, is tailored for partners that are looking for a TV platform without a converter box or as part of a third-party integrator solution.</p><p>Spectrum Enterprise is also using the event to tout a slimmed-down, “set-back” box for hotel guests and hospital patients that delivers HD programming and can be mounted behind the TV.</p><p><a href="https://www.nexttv.com/blog/charter-testing-spectrumu-415416" data-original-url="https://www.multichannel.com/blog/charter-testing-spectrumu-415416">RELATED: Charter Testing ‘SpectrumU’</a></p><p>Also on show is SpectrumU TV, a new video streaming service from Charter for college partners that supports live TV, with local channels and regional sports networks, VOD and an integrated interactive programming guide. Following field trials with more than 24 clients, SpectrumU TV is slated for general avaialbity later this month in Spectrum Enterprise’s national footprint. </p>

                                <p>AT&T has introduced an upgraded version of DirecTV for business customers, including hotels, that features a large lineup of HD channels, 4K capabilities and multiscreen access.  </p><p>The third-gen platform, called COM3000, supports up to 138 HD channels (along with select programming in 4K and HDR formats), and lets business owners tack on their own in-house and OTT channels.  </p><p>In addition to TVs, COM3000 is also capable of supporting smartphones and tablets, select smart TVs and third-party set-top boxes. The service can also be delivered on a range of access infrastructures, including coax, Ethernet and WiFi, AT&T said.  </p><p>AT&T launched COM3000 at this week’s Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition & Conference, happening this week in Houston. HBO said the app will initially be made available to more than 1,500 Marriott properties and about 575,000 rooms, and a more than 3,500 properties over the next several months.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="XUto5AN4NdUHMmB8voUHMb" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/XUto5AN4NdUHMmB8voUHMb.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/XUto5AN4NdUHMmB8voUHMb.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>Complementary access to HBO in hotels has been a long-time perk in the hospitality industry, while also giving HBO exposure to non-subscribers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.  </p><p>Blueprint RF is an approved provider for leading U.S. hotel brands, which allows it to design, install, monitor and support wired and wireless network solutions for companies that own and operate hotel properties.</p><p>Cox Business already has a presence in the hotel industry through its Hospitality Network, which provides a full suite of hotel-specific telecommunication, in-room entertainment and managed WiFi solutions to large hotels, convention centers and arenas. The Blueprint RF addition will help enhance those offerings.</p><p>“High-quality video, internet and WiFi access are very important amenities for hotel guests during their stay,” said Cox Business executive vice president Steve Rowley in a statement. “By adding a leading company like Blueprint into the Cox family, with its expertise and industry relationships, we now have a more complete suite of technologies and services for hospitality properties of all sizes and industry segments – ensuring hotel guests stay connected to what they care about.” <br/><br/>Related: AT&T Bows Chromecast-Supported Streaming Option for Hotels</p><p>Blueprint RF’s hospitality expertise, coupled with the financial and operational capabilities of Cox, will allow for broader and stronger hospitality-focused technologies, deep analytics, and an accelerated delivery that will benefit hotel owners.</p><p>“Cox and Blueprint RF share a commitment to delivering world-class customer service and industry-leading technologies,” said Blueprint RF co-founder and CEO Ron Peterson in a statement.  “By joining Cox, we’ll be better positioned to expand our existing products and service offerings to meet the industry’s managed network solutions needs today and far into the future.”</p><p>Peterson and the Blueprint RF team will join Cox and will operate as part of Cox Business’ New Business Ventures.</p>
